Highly recommend this vet. They are helpful and quick to respond to issues. They’re also very thorough in their record keeping and I’ve never felt like they missed anything while taking care of my kitty.

We have been highly satisfied customers since RVVC opened more than ten years ago. We have been impressed by several things: diagnosis of a serious condition that had been overlooked elsewhere; exceptionally skillful surgeries; speedy referral when MRI was required. Doctors and staff are welcoming to both pets and people. Strongly recommended.

Very welcoming and caring staff. They take their time with pets and use a gentle approach, always catering to the pet’s needs. They are always thorough when explaining medical conditions to pet owners. Our pooch has been in their care since she was a pup. Best pet care in the city!

I really love my vet practice. They're quality folk, and they are so good to my cats. They are very sensitive to animals' personalities and respond accordingly based on what an animal needs. Their prices are reasonable, and they don't advocate for tests or treatments if they feel they're not in an animal's best interest. Finally and most importantly, they are skilled in surgery, and saved my cat's life. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Roncy Vets' doctors and staff have continuously been wonderful in helping us care for our pets over the last 10+ years. When our border collie had a rather large mass on his hind leg, Dr.Sam went over and above in our dog's after-care. Staff has always been available to handle our pet emergencies and administer treatment. We are extremely pleased when dealing with front desk reception, assistants and especially the Doctors.

I am a new dog owner and was told to be careful with certain vets as some are more concerned about making money than your pet...this one is such a clinic. After reading lots of good reviews about Roncy Vet, I thought that we were in good hands, but than little things started to pop up. Example > every visit started costing more and more money...than we were misquoted a couple times only to be told it was double was we were quoted for meds...as well, the reception staff is a hit or miss. Overall, I'm sad to say that we are going to go look elsewhere for our dogs needs.

You will find an exceptional team of caring, professional, and dedicated staff at Roncy Village Vet Clinic. As former clients with an elder dog we lost due to chronic health conditions, and now currently with a new puppy, we are impressed with the way staff involve you in every aspect of compassionate animal care, from proposed treatment plans, to estimates and pet health decisions. Pre and post op consultations, updates, and follow-up care are above and beyond expectations. Knowledgeable members of the team are available to respond to any ongoing questions or concerns. We extend our full appreciation to the whole team, with special thanks to Dr. Karen, Dr. Sam, Christie, Kelly, Patricia and Claudia. Our puppy can’t wait until her next visit!

I cannot say enough about the fantastic care my cats have received at Roncy Village Vet Clinic! When I volunteered at the clinic, I began taking my cats in for routine check-ups; the staff was professional, knowledgeable, and sensitive to clients going through difficult times with their pets.
Clinic staff was amazing when two of my cats were exposed to lilies. They very thoughtfully explained the tests and treatment options, as well as the associated costs. When I decided to hospitalize my cats on IV fluids, all three vets worked together to provide me with updates by phone every day. The clinic also accommodated my work schedule so I could visit my cats whenever I could.
I am very happy to say that because of early and effective treatment, Pearl and Rogue emerged from their ordeal with no kidney damage. Even though it was a scary time for me, I'm so grateful to have the best team on my side!

Looking for a clinic where the veterinarians and staff are thorough, caring, and compassionate? Look no further than this one. Not only do these people care for your pet as if it was their own, they care about the people owned by their patients. *smile* Roncy Village Veterinary Clinic - best of the best. My cat's bladder stones were diagnosed and treated with one and a half months - without radical surgery! Let me give one small example of the whole clinic's dedication - my fur-baby was anything but docile - nearly impossible to get into her carrier. Our appointment was for 2:00 PM - AFTER the clinic's lunch break of 1:00 to 2:00 PM. My cat went into her carrier on her own at 12:30 - delighted, I called the clinic, hoping they could accommodate us so I wouldn't have to keep my cat confined until 2:00. Not only did they take care of us immediately, they persevered with a cat so ornery, she should have been sedated (which I really didn't want) and worked right into their lunch hour!

I have been bringing my (senior, often sick) cat here for almost a year now, and have nothing but good things to say about this clinic. The staff, from the receptionists to the vet techs to the vets, are highly capable and efficient, and you feel like they truly care about the animals and their humans. They always listen attentively and take the time to explain things clearly, and they've been incredibly kind to me when I've been visibly upset because of my cat's illnesses. I highly recommend this clinic.

I've been bringing my two cats to the Roncy Vet Clinic for about 5 years now, and I have always been incredibly impressed by the level of service and care they have received. From routine exams to dental surgeries, and from the front desk staff to the vet techs to the doctors - there is a lot of kindness, warmth and understanding, and incredible actual care shown to my cats - they cured one of them of colitis completely!
More recently, I brought in a very very sick stray cat that I had rescued from the street, and everyone has gone above and beyond over the past 6 months to get him well and healthy - not just with tests, food, and medicine, but additional research on his possible conditions on their own time, and making time to see him after hours/whenever they can when emergencies have come up. Thanks to the team here, he's finally healthy and well, and ready to be adopted out! They quite literally saved his life, and I am so grateful!

I had a good experience here, Dr.Kinghorn gave me lots of time to explain everything and went into detail so I knew what to expect. Everyone really cares about my pets. My two cats and one dog see Dr.Kinghorn We (including my pets) are always treated with respect, love and care by all staff. They are truly wonderful here, we are treated like a part of their family. We even refer to our pets as "kids". After a few bad experience with other vets/clinics the only Veterinary Clinic to go to is Roncy Village Veterinary Clinic! Thank you! Pici,Yoda,Kylee. :)

I love this clinic and Dr. Mark Kinghorn. He has looked after my 4 dogs over the last 10 years to my total satisfaction. He's had to put down 2 of them and it was handled in the most heartfelt and kind way possible, not only considering my dogs' comfort but me and my family's too. His clinic is very technologically advanced (laproscopic spaying!) and Dr. Kinghorn is very up to the minute on the latest procedures and information. He is a kind, caring man who considers the pet's parents as well as the pet when treating your babies. When you deal with such a well equipped and well staffed clinic, you can expect to pay for a better quality of care. I trust Dr. Kinghorn implicitly and know that his concern is the very best care for my dogs as well as considering my feelings. I travel an hour, since I moved, to this clinic and it's worth every kilometer. I highly recommend Dr. Kinghorn and his clinic.

I had a really wonderful experience here, and can't say enough about the care that the staff showed my dog. Not only did I feel as though I was getting great value for the services they offered, but they went the extra mile in ensuring that my dog was well taking care of. The clinic was extremely clean and welcoming, and made comfortable for both humans and their pets. My appointment ran on time, and I did not feel as though they suggested any unnecessary of extra tests the way that some clinics do. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone who is moving to the area, getting a new pet, or just looking for a new veterinarian!

Very kind staff, top of the line ficilities and knowledgeable and professional vets. Thorough approach and don't push heavy meds -will consider lighter meds first and explain why. We moved from Toronto and Dr. Kinghron was kind enough to offer us 2 free phone consultations to deal with some urgent health issues with our dogs until we found a local vet.

I am not sure where to start with this amazing vet clinic. On the Friday of the Labour day long weekend our dog was suffering with a blocked bladder. We faced an enormous emergency vet bill, euthanizing our dog, or handing her over to Animal Services so they could fix her but would adopt her out. Dr. Karen O'Keefe not only worked out saving her but came in on her day off to complete the surgery. The aftercare that followed was by far the best I have ever experienced. If you are looking for honest pet loving vets this is the place, I don't care where I live my dog will be seen here for the rest of her life.

I don't know how to express my gratitude to the entire team that works at Roncy Village Vet Clinic other than to say that they saved my pet's life. My cat had been unwell for about a week, and after she continued to decline I brought her to Dr. Kinghorn. Based on her exam he recommended that we take x-rays, showed a tumor on her spleen. She was booked in for surgery the next day (even though it wasn't a normal surgery day for them, they made space) and had her spleen removed. Having said that, the whole experience from start to finish was nothing short of excellent. They even sent Ringo a get-well-soon card after she went home from surgery! I couldn't believe it! I've never experienced care like I received here from any other clinic in Toronto and I've been to several. From their wonderful receptionist Claudia all the way to the nurses and vets, I have to say that I'm hooked and will continue to bring Ringo here for the rest of what hopefully is a long and happy life! Thank you Roncy!

I am so pleased with the level of care and knowledge shown by the staff at RVVC. We wouldn’t consider taking our dog anywhere else! As clients of RVVC since it opened we are thrilled with the friendly and courteous staff and especially the vets. Dr. Kinghorn has always been extremely patient with our anxious Beagle and even when she’s been difficult to manage, he has remained cheerful and highly professional. Over the years when Maddy has needed surgery or been ill, Dr. K has always shown a high degree of expertise in explaining options, including possible tests, or meds, and has been willing to answer endless questions to ensure our ability to make good choices. Prices are discussed in advance of any decisions and there has never been any pressure to do more than we were comfortable with. Follow up has been excellent with clinic calls and Dr. K checking in to monitor meds, check on how Maddy is doing, etc. It is clear that in addition to being a highly competent vet, Dr. K is pa

Been bringing our pets to Dr Kinghorn since '09. We used to have a rescue who by age 13 had developed severe tooth decay needing dental work with general anesthesia. We got quotes from a few vets and the Roncy quote was a tad lower so we went with them. Originally given an estimated quote, but then told that the decay was worse than originally thought. We expected that meant greater cost, but they actually lowered final cost because Dr. Kinghorn said there was less work for him to do. It would have been so easy to just charge us the original quote with us being none the wiser.
When our pooch was coming to the end of his life, we weren’t ready to give up on him yet. Dr. K was the perfect balance of level headedness mixed with understanding and empathy. We struggled with various treatments to help Bindi improve but in the end we felt it best to euthanize him. The staff at RVVC was amazing at helping us navigate a sad, guilt ridden experience with dignity and compassion.

After 35 years in this area, and experience at 6 other animal clinics, I would not entrust my pets to anyone but Dr. Kinghorn. Others have charged us for x-rays never performed and missed serious symptoms. One vet recommended exercise and diet for our seriously overweight terrier, but she became worse. Dr. Kinghorn immediately diagnosed a thyroid problem. After losing half her body weight, Dana was her old lively self again. When our 13 year old Border Collie needed flea meds, Dr. Kinghorn also exam;ined him and discovered a tumor which could have burst and killed him at any moment. Rather than euthanize Bear, we opted for surgery and chemotherapy. Dr. Kinghorn explained that the prognosis was not great, but thanks to pain and anti-nausea meds, Bear enjoyed another 7 months of happy, vigorous life. Dr. Kinghorn is always wiling to discuss procedures, options, and costs, and we love Claudia. If costs are a problem, I'd recommend pet health insurance--it's not that expensive..

I recently moved on from this clinic. I am new to this vetratingz site. Shocked at some reviews... I had a suspicion I was being overcharged and when I price checked agianst 3 other vets I was correct. Roncy wanted about 30-40% more for the exact same line items on the quote. Im not the first to mention one of their front desk staff, Claudia. She just needs to go. I was actually told after some pushing for a better price that, "at this low price, we are basically paying you to come to uor clinic." I'm sorry, WHAT? And this so called reduced (friendly price) was still more than the regular price of some competitors. Great location, very expensive, poor front line service. New associate vet should go with Claudia somewhere else. As far as Dr. Kinghorn. Great guy, knowledgeable, cares for the pets. I just can't pay for someone elses lfestyle.

Not a fan of this clinic. After we moved into the area we made this place our little guy's new vet. First off, they quote us at around $900 for dental work. When we go in for the pre-op exam the hand us a quote for $2,500 for getting a few teeth removed! Called four different vets and all quoted at significantly (less than half) lower rates. This clinic really gouges you for money. I get the impression that they're making up rent money by maximizing what they charge. Took our guy to a new vet and the pre-op exam was free and the surgery was less than half of what this place quoted. This place is way too expensive. I understand that everyone has to make money but there's making money and then there's gouging people.

The vet techs are very friendly and really enjoy working with animals. I rated staff a 1 because there is one receptionist (Claudia) and the vetrinarians who only seem to care about how much money they can bring in to the clinic...cash grab 100%. Their priority is money and they don't seem to care at all about my animals health. My dog is young (under two) and very healthy, but they seem to want to run every invasive test possible regarless of the fact she is not ill. The one time she had an ear infection, I wracked up $1000's of dollars in appointments and medications only to have a second opinion tell me her ears were fine. They do not disclose their prices and routinely give misinformation. I asked for the total cost of my dogs yearly checkup before going in and was quoted at $100.00 less than what they charged me. Hidden fees everywhere.

I came to this clinic for a laparoscopic spay for my chihuahua/pom. Unfortunately, my own clinic does not perform this amazing surgery. I spoke with Dr.Kinghorn on the phone and was impressed with his knowledge, experience and genuine concern for Fritzi's well-being. During the pre-op visit as well as after surgery and pick-up, the staff were extremely patient as I had lots of questions and concerns. My questions and concerns were always listened to, duly noted and 100% followed through, I am most impressed. If you are considering a laparoscopic spay for your dog, I highly recommend this clinic and Dr.Kinghorn. It was the very best decision that I could have made for Fritzi's spay and she is thrilled as well. We thank the clinic very much!

My mother took her cat to this clinic recently and won't ever return again. Her cat was seen by Dr. Kinghorn. He underdiagosed what was wrong with her cat, and the quote he gave her for treatment was near twice what she was quoted for more treatment at another clinic. Dr. Kinghorn also recommended an overnight stay (at her cost) which another vet said was unnecessary. This clinic's first priority is its cashflow, your pet's health is totally secondary. Thankfully she was referred to Dr. Dayed at Dundas Dovercourt Clinic and is pleased with him.

As a first time dog owner and an older dog but very healthy dog at that I was definitely shocked at how quickly the bills racked up!Not only was I not informed about the costs but I was charged for things I didn't know would cost anything such as guidance on how to clip my dogs nails. Also when I realized they charged me $35 bucks to express my dogs glands(which I never was told the amount or even that that was not included in the checkup/visit), they didn't clean up afterwards and I brought home a dog with gross stuff all over her! I did call and complain and was refunded. Also they have me ready to give my dog a whole set of diff allergy/flea/heart test/shots,etc. I have not even agreed to and told it to me like it was just part of having a dog. Much to my surprise, most of these are not good for a dog so old as the one I have and can be quite harmful. Oh and did I mention my pet's teeth that 'should' get fixed due to tarter etc costing around '$1,700'. Vets are nice but want $$$!

Dr. Kinghorn and Dr. Swan went above and beyond the call of duty when our vizsla had a sudden and extreme relapse in her spay incontinence, following treatment for a skin infection. They worked tirelessly, researching and communicating with us daily until we got on top of the issue. These vets care VERY MUCH about the health of their patients (and their patients' humans!) and I would HIGHLY recommend this practice.

I brought my cat in for a check-up after her usual howling turned into obsessive 'drive-me-insane' howling. They quickly noticed that one of her teeth had a cavity and was falling apart, and that it would need to be pulled. After the extraction was done the howling came to a halt and my crazy cat was back to her normal level of craziness. I definitely recommend going here, professional follow-up and I wasn't pressured into any services that I couldn't afford. They were really understanding of my financial limits and work schedule.

My cat likes this place-he used to go berserk at my last vet (doc had to wear big gloves to touch him), but he's calmer here. I guess they've got good 'cat vibes' or something. More importantly to me my wallet likes this place-they're affordable, no crazy bills, and they don't push extra stuff on me. When my cat got beat up in a cat fight, they gave me an estimate to fix him up and explained all the stuff on it before doing anything. I'll definitely keep going here.

I was not impressed with this clinic. When I asked Dr. Mark a simple question he would not provide an opinion & recommended instead for lab tests to be done. I asked again, what his educated diagnosis would be & he avoided answering, instead he kept pressuring me to spend more money for lab tests. On another issue, after our dog had his ears checked and was given medication, I received a follow up call and email & I thought how nice. I called & emailed back saying that his ears still seemed infected & I have not heard back from the vet. I emailed again and still no response, so was the follow up gesture a false one? Horrible service, this vet seems only interested in recommending additional services to charge you more. Dr. Mark was rude & not helpful. I would not return to this vet. My dog is so scared each time we go, he wets himself which is not like him at all. Makes me wonder how the staff/vet treats him when I am not there, did they hurt him? I've never seen my dog react like this

I feel like this clinic wants you to get unnecessary tests just so they can up their billing. Also, I dislike how they treat you as an owner -- most animals are wild creatures and at this clinic they infantize them. Perhaps it would be worse if they didn't care about them at all, but it would be better if they stuck with the facts: you are the pet's owner, not their parent. You're not their 'mommy' or 'daddy' and its just annoying to be treated as such. On the plus side, they are very good at getting in contact with you and returning messages. On the downside, they try to instill fear into you so that you will pay more on tests and the goo-goo gaa-gaa treatment of your animal just makes me ill.

I would love to ask all the "happy customers" of this vet how much they paid and did they compare prices? This vet is a rip off. OMG, it is shocking the prices they charge. For example, they quoted $1,400 to pull my cats tooth when it does not need pulling according to the second opinion! And the staff is so phony I could gag. Every single employee oowed and awed over my cat and told me how beautiful and precious she is. Sorry, but she is just a basic cat. They are clearly highly trained to maximize profit!! I am disgusted with this place and will never ever come back here again. RIP OFF ALERT, THESE YOUNG VETS HAVE BILLS TO PAY AND THEY WILL OVER-CHARGE YOU!! Make sure you compare prices and get a second opinion to be sure your pet really needs the work they say. The vet will pressure you and try to guilt you into doing work without comparing prices but do it. Don’t succumb to their high pressure tactics about how much PAIN your cat is in and that you need to act immediately.

Last spring, I became the owner of a stray cat and brought her in to be looked at. I was amazed at how quickly I got an appointment, and their pricing was reasonable. Even when my kitty was given a clean bill of health, they emailed me to follow up to see how she was. Sadly she didn't live very long and they were saddened when I told them this, but they were supportive. I am definitely going to be taking my other pets there, they are reasonably close by and that's what matters to me. They do know what they're doing, very pleasant and the clinic atmosphere is quite cheerful.

I would like to say that the care, service and attention to detail was excellent. I feel that $80 for blood work, and $1050 for cleaning and extracting 2 teeth is quite high. The vet. gave me a procedure estimate which was $967.39 to $1178.64 plus tax. I ended up paying $1140.74 including tax. I feel that this is a little high, considering I had a quote from another vet. at about $700. The only problem with the lower priced vet. was the way he handled my cat and spoke to me. I know you only get what you pay for but I feel that the charges for the work at $1140.74 was a little much. Thank you.

Went to this hospital based on this sight and was greatly disappointed. Who wrote these ratings anyway? Staff were ok and nice but not helpful. Vet was short with me when I had some questions. Super sweet staff everyone is so caring. They take the time to listen to each and every concern, I'm never rushed out. They stay late when my appointment runs late. I feel they care just as much about the wellbeing of my animals as I do.
