I brought my bunny to Dr. Eva for a check up on Dec. 10, 2023 because my bunny had soft poo that was not cecotropes. She suggested blood work and x-ray, and her vet tech told me that the sedative drug that they would use to calm my bunny wouldn't hurt the bunny, and I blindly trusted them. Dr. Eve and her staff couldn't restrain my bunny during the tests, and they gave my bunny the sedative drug and killed him. I should have never brought my bunny to this vet. Dr. Eva and her vet techs and this clinic claims to be an exotic clinic and they claims to know how to treat bunnies; but they killed my beloved bunny and they actually had no clue about what they were doing. It has been a bit over half a year since my bunny got killed, and I could still barely collect myself to mention this to the public and write about this. Please DO NOT BRING YOUR RABBITS TO THIS VET!

Very very expensive, they pull the old heres what I recommend scam... The full gammet of tests and xrays and stuff not even needed and then try and make you feel bad for not knowing what to actually get or wanting to spend the crazy amount she asks for. Other vets i called will do fecal tests without seeing the animal they say its not needed. They even made me feel bad about my decision to euthanize and then they said oh its not that bad, how about you donate him to us and well help him. Please pay us $189 to donate....um the word is donate!!! These people are crooks.

paid for fecal analysis. they would not tell me the results until I brought my pet in for consultation. phone two other vets they told me this was wrong and their companies would give me the results with out seeing my pet.rip off. beware

Dr Eva treats all of my exotic pets. I've always been very impressed with her vast knowledge and love her no nonsense approach. She's very personable and has always been extremely compassionate when dealing with my family, pets included. I've entrusted her with the care of my beloved pets because she understands that every animal is an individual, and what works for one doesn't always work for all. I really appreciate that about her. I've never left without feeling like I've just visited a friend. She also has a fabulous technique of gentle yet controlled restraint of small wriggling animals. The staff is wonderful, always happy to answer questions or point you in the right direction. Thank you for everything you guy do!

The staff, including Dr Eva & Dr. Maros are wonderful at what they do. We have been coming to them for years with our bunnies and now our little dog. We are always so confident and assured that our fur family is getting the best care, attention, and affection. We have passed out the vet's business cards while we have been in the pet store or anywhere there are lagomorph admirers as the exotics care at this office is outstanding. Dr. Eva has taken the time to educate and advise which has certainly been better for our bunnies but also beneficial to our finances. We wouldn't take our fur family anywhere else. We don't have any non fur family members but we have seen Dr Eva in action with her own reptile family. She is highly knowledgeable and well versed in the understanding of exotics. This is the vet you should be bringing your exotics, dogs, cats and especially bunnies to. We can't say enough wonderful things about the staff at Dewinton Pet Hospital.

I absolutely love this clinic. Even though there are several clinics that are much closer I will always bring my dogs here. Dr.Maros is very good with both my big dogs and makes sure to take the extra time to discuss every concern I may have. Dr.Eva obviously knows her stuff and is wonderful and giving advice right away. I'm very pleased with this clinic and will definitely return.

Eva is such an amazing vet. My new chameleon was very ill so I called their 24 hour emergency line and Eva gave me some great advice over the phone. She didnt try to upsell me and she was very honest about the sound of his condition which I very much appreciated. I followed her directions and was able to save my chameleon (for free!). I went for my first visit the next day and my wife and I were VERY impressed with the friendly staff at Dewinton Pet Hospital and how knowledgeable Eva is with reptiles. She has taught me so much and I have already used some of her tips. By far the best reptile vet you will ever find - and that is coming from a reptile enthusiast ;)

I love this clinic. This is a second home unfortunately to one of my two dogs who was diagnosed with addisons. Both Eva and Maros(sp?) have been available to us at all hours and the staff are wonderful with both dogs which are a high strung breed. It is never a second guess about the treatment or the bill because I know they are getting the best.

We have had all three of our dogs cared for by Dr. Maros and Dr. Eva. The care has been outstanding, the staff are extremely friend, and we usually get follow up calls after treatment. Our pup was diagnosed with HOD about 1.5 years ago, and when the vet bills became significant, Dr. Maros provided us with options on how to deal with some of the issues at home rather than bringing the pup in for IV fluids daily. I highly recommend this clinic and am willing to pay a bit more for the personal care we receive.

I brought my bunny into this clinic for a broken leg. The vet x-rayed his leg and then came to tell me the bad news 70 minutes later. She then proceeded to show my young daughter and I the x-rays while she was dealing with discharging a dog and other things not giving us the attention we deserved. She offered to either amputate his leg for $1200.00 or put him down telling us that splinting his leg would not work. She was very cold and had no sympathy for my sobbing daughter and we were very upset. I took him out of there as fast as I could and took him to another vet. The new vet who was amazing and calm splinted his leg and he his healed and happy as can be. And he has all of his legs! This clinic is not calm, and I would think again before taking your pet there.

You heard the expression, you get what you paid for. This is the best clinic we have dealt with. We have gone to several including Avenida in the SW and the Fish Creek Pet hospital. Dewinton Pet Hospital is a family business and they are passionate about animals. They were the only vet willing to treat my sister's dog with a payment plan because they could not afford it. No one else would including the vet they had been going to for 6 years! They recently helped us with our sick dog and we had to put her down but they helped us for many months in managing the illness and then making the right decision to let her go. Cannot say enough about the people that work there too. They are all so caring and supportive.

Would not recommend to anyone.
I was told when booking an first appointment that it would be a free appointment. However, at the end of said appointment for my two skinny pigs I had one tech come in and give me a price but then when I went to pay the receptionist she gave me an even higher total. Being quoted a free initial visit to being given a monetary total and then that changing to an even higher one in the end was EXTREMELY disappointing and disgusting. I would rather know what I am paying and not have that change literally by the minute - and all this for a simple checkup. And might I add, I paid for a full checkup for 2 animals and only one was checked over, weighed and temp taken. I was charged for services unrendered. The vet kept me waiting for some time and then came in with pretentiousness and a know it all attitude about the upkeep of a breed of animal they admittedly know little about. I will not be using her services in the future for any of my exotic pets and birds.

Do not let these Dr's take your pet out of your sight for treatments if you can avoid it! This hospital is only one have been to that asks you to sign legal waivers for your pet for treatments - why if they are confident in treatment and medications they give. Clinic is often cold, not good for sick animals. Prices high, shop around. Notice reviews that are plants by clinic staff - check dates posted. Would not suggest you go here if you can avoid it

I love this clinic, they are friendly, well versed in all matters concerning pets, have a great facility and their hours are the best I`ve seen in this area. Not only that the Vets are enthusiastic about their job and concern themselves with beyond the basics. Even after hours they are available. They helped us out on New Year`s Day with one of our cockatiels! I would recommend them to anyone.

Have a rabbit and a large breed pup. Eva saved by rabbits life almost 3 years ago now when I had to bring her in at 1 in the morning. They always answer the emergency line and provide phone advise when possible and are always willing to open the clinic to provde medical care when its required. My pup has had a couple of lumps that needed removal and a bunch of other issues and they genuinely care about how he's doing and take great care of him. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else.

Dr. Eva is amazing at what she does. My gecko has had several problems and I wouldn't trust him to any other vet. She is so knowledgable and caring. I would recommend this clinic time and time again.

I have had over 8 dogs , a chicken and a turkey ,looked after by both Dr Eva and Dr Maros, over the past three years. They've both been excellent vets . They have taken emergency calls on off hrs and holidays and have been extremely helpful over the phn with concerns that other vets would have insisted on a hospital visit.I cannot thank them enough for their service to me and my family. You're terrific vets and an honor to your profession! Deb Bisssonnette

Front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful, vet was not. Didn't show up for scheduled appointment, or return phone calls. Extremely disgusted with the "service" they apparently provide. Found a different vet, would never return here nor recommend to anyone. Certainly seems to care about the cash flow over the animals.

This clinic was amazing staff was very knowledable and willing to answer all of my questions. Vets were not rushed and took all the time i needed with them. The staff treated all of my pets very well. The prices were compairable to other good hospitals (You get what you pay for!) and with my pets I am willing to spend the extra cash to get better service. I love this hospital and would recomend it to anyone who wants their pets to get the best treatment out there!! Thnakyou DeWinton Pet Hospital you guys are the best.
