$500 to give my cat a haircut? And when our other cat became constipated we were charged for several enigmas during the same visit and then told;"it didn't work, call us in the morning if she is still suffering and we can put her down". We worked on her at home for several days and saved her life ourselves. And when our little dog had breathing difficulty we were told; It's not worth it to see her tonight, call back in the morning to book an appointment". Our loving little dog died on our bed that same night only a few hours later. I can only suggest that if you are tired and burned out take a vacation because your sensitivity and caring should extend well beyond the Veterinarian's Oath.

I was quoted a price of over $1200 to clean my dogs teeth, ended up going to different Vet where the bill was $450...the difference was one months mortgage payment...ouch!The fill in Vet they use is only concerned with the food you feed your dog regardless of why you have brought your dog in, he recommends the some of the worst foods available....looking for repeat business with sick dogs I guess.

I found the locum to be very unprofessional, when brought my concerns to the Veterinarian who owns the clinic, he was no too concerned on how rude and unprofessional he was. Not impressed with the Vet or attending Vets. The girls working there are great however.

In my personal experience, the vet in town and his staff are genuinely caring and helpful whenever I take my dogs and cat in. Though yes, I have to agree with some of the others, that it is much more pricey than some other vets.

I feel a little differently than the above.I like Dr.Thwaite and the staff and they are always kind and caring. The cost is a little high but we are a remote community and everything is more expensive, even the supplies the vet must bring in. All in all I think I get great care here, both regular and emergency.

Routine care out of reach an understatement.even the SPCA in town goes somewhere else! Too expensive! I had my sheperd xrayed and they told me the next day it was gonna be more! Over $500

Very expensive compared to other local vets. Got the feeling it was more for the love of money than the animal

A relativly new vet in town. Raised prices a huge amount compared to our old vet. Made routine care out of reach for a lot of people. Many long time customers now travel 3 hours to Prince Rupert for vet care, where they get great care at a fair price. Seems all about the money. We dont expect free services, but always feel gouged. We understand he's trying to establish a new practice, but went about it all wrong.Alienated a lot of people.Better to spay 10 dogs at $200 each than 3 at $3-4 hundred. And it serves the community better.I, myself saved over $500, by traveling to Prince Rupert
