Do Not Go Here.! They are only interested in the MONEy not your pet’s Health. My parents had been longtime clients of this veterinary clinic. They took their dog to the vet , knee replacement surgery was recommended. My parents loved their dog and did not want it suffering. They are both pensioners so this operation would be quite expensive for them. My parents wanted To make sure the other knee would not be needing a replacement. A full blood work up was done, xrays the works.. The vet assured them she was okay and only one knee was lame and in perfect health otherwise. several weeks after this operation the dogs other knee was lame. She needed the other knee replaced. More bloodwork xrays etc. The vet assured my parents the dog had no otherhealth issues. the dog was then not doing so well weeks following the second knee replacement. My parents took her to vet again and now she was full of cancer everywhere and needed to be put down. $ 30’000 dollars later!

Peterborough Pet Hospital is amazing! I could never Thank them enough as they saved the life of my Yorkshire Terrier, "Buddy" as right around Christmas this past year we found out he is diabetic. From Dr Jeff Simmons to Heather, Kimberley and ALL the staff...Thank-you sooo much!

Excellent care always Dr. Joe Muise is tops in my books, has cared for all four of my cats and recently vaccinated four of the females kittens. We love Joe and will always use only Peterborough Pet Hospital. Care and compassion. They go out of their way to care for your beloved pets. Thank you Dr. Muise for all you do!!!

So glad I chose PPH and got Dr. Jeff Simmons!! Super experience. My cat was extremely relaxed throughout the entire visit...as was I :). Dr. Jeff is obviously extremely caring. Gave me some tips I appreciated (even for a veteran pet owner). No question I would recommend this clinic to anyone!

This vet clinic is a rip off for spay and neutering your cats and kittens. They wanted almost 400 to spay a female cat. Contact the spca, you cant get your animals spayed and neutered at low costs. Then the vet office wants you to have your cats shots first at more money. No wonder people can not afford to spay and neuter.

very sad place rude at the desk heard the lady tell another worker (vet) you cant talk that long we have other people tell them to make another appointment thats just uncalled for and they couldnt even clean up my pet just care about the money and the doctor wouldnt even talk to me they said he would call well thats great help still waiting for a phone call should of left money for them to call STAY AWAY AT ALL COST

I am boggled by the number of bad reviews! The staff at this clinic, particularly Dr. Jeff Simmons are the most caring, professional vets/techs I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I took my cat in for a repeat flare up of pancreatitis and was given antibiotic and pain management tablets. The antibiotics made my cat vomit, and when I called expressing my concern that he could no longer take them or the pain medication, because it too was hard on the stomach, they told me to come right back in and they gave him shots instead at NO EXTRA CHARGE! They are one of the only clinics where I feel they care more about the animals than making profit. LOVE THEM!

Took my vomiting, lethargic cat to this clinic... This is the BEST clinic I have ever been to!! Dr. Simmons took such an interest in my cat's well being. He took time to listen, and assess. He made sure we did not leave until we understood what our options were, and what all tests would determine and even how we would proceed once they were back. He gave my cat a shot for nausea and a saline injection to get his fluids back up, and it was though he instantly felt better. Even began eating and drinking again that afternoon. I left feeling like ALL of my concerns were addressed, and that he was in such good hands. I will pay every dime they ask for with NO hesitation, because the care they give is worth EVERY penny!! I am shocked at the negative reviews, I have yet to have ANY bad situation..

We were 20 year customers of this clinic. We have a very sick lab at the moment. He has been prescribed prolonged steroid use for a skin condition which has contributed to his illness. We took him to this facility on Saturday they were open 9-12. The vet was in such a hurry to get us out the door. He knew he needed blood work, remember never done in 6 months of treating him as well as x-rays. We were sent out the door with another RX. At this point we are upwards around 2 K for meds and visits. We almost lost him the next day if it weren't for the exemplary care of the vets at an emergency clinic. He is now at the top notch Toronto vet clinic, and on the mend. Don't ever if you love your pet go here, in my opinion.

Dr Jeff Simmons is the only reason why I take my pets there. The girls at the front desk can be very grumpy,eg, Heather.... Jeff is a great vet and knows his stuff but their prices are high. A 15 dollar vaccination ends up being $100 due to an office visit charge.Really need to change Vets soon but have been there for years making it hard to leave.

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, AVOID: Way over priced. Now I know why my friends who are local drive an hour to another vet. Peterborough Pet Hospital wanted $350 for a simple swab test and progesterone test (which required blood be drawn) that my home vet would charge $150 for. The swab test is a 5 minutes or less--and they wanted $225! They are out of their minds. They are greedy people and I hope they go out of business. Despite having a large staff, they completely ignored me for a long while, and I had to wave to a woman right in front of me to get her attention. The bottom line is I'm glad I asked what the rates were, and I voted with my feet and left. I can do a swab test myself. I have a microscope which cost way less than what they wanted for a very simple swab test. I can't believe they wanted $225 and their materials cost is one QW-tip cotton swab and a clean microscope slide. Do yourself a favor and choose a place/vet with reasonable rates. AVOID

Multiple vets misdiagnosed my pet and now it lies nearly dead in my house. I had an appointment today, tried to cancel it because I can't move my dying dog. They then decided they don't want me bringing my animals to their clinic anymore because "you do not have confidence in our staff". Well, I don't have confidence because you neglected to do a skin test, and you gave the dog steroids which made the mites stronger, and weakened my dogs immune system so they can't fight it! For the love of your pet, please make sure you try another vet first, and realize this place is only in it for the money. I have given them almost $500.00 in the last month. Half of which was due to the first misdiagnosis!
