Click to report rating    6/28/17   5     5     5     4   My cat has always received the best care at this clinic. He was recently diagnosed with IBD and the treatment plan outlined by Dr. Nat was clearly for the benefit of the kitty. He was stubborn with adopting to his new food but with persistence Dr. Nat and the Noah team were able to find a food that he has now been enjoying for months. For owners complaining about costs GET PET INSURANCE! I recommend Trupanion. It's been a life saver for me. RID: 64032

1/21/16   5     5     5     5   I know that these ratings are to be made by clients. Not only do I take all 3 of my animals to NOAH, I also work at NOAH. Of course I believe that on a veterinary care angle the veterinarians are amazing and do everything they can to ensure that every patient and client is treated in the best way possible. I am writing this because I want others to know more about the people who run this veterinary hospital. Coming to this hospital is not only a great choice for you and your animals, but it is owned and managed by such caring people. I have struggled my whole life with anxiety and depression and thought I would never be able to live an average life. Not only did they invite me into this wonderful work environment, they understand people on a personal level. They understand anxiety and depression and they don't have any stigma around it like many work places do. Mary and Dr. Sarah have gone above and beyond for me and my health just like with all their patients. Thank you. RID: 59557

1/19/15   5     5     5     5   We first found NOAH online when we were looking for a second opinion for our dog. We loved the look of the website and the pictures of the hospital, so we gave them a try. That was over 5 years ago. We have had nothing but good experiences at NOAH. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They are thorough and they always follow-up on our pets. The doctors are always available to answer questions in person, by phone, and by email. We could go to many other vets closer to our home, but we choose to drive 30+ minutes to NOAH. It is well worth the drive. We trust the staff and veterinarians at NOAH 100% (especially the owner Dr. Sarah). Dr. Sarah goes above and beyond when it comes to treating animals. Our cat and dog were both complicated cases, and she always took time to educate us and listen to our concerns. She researched, she always told us all of our options, and she was supportive of the decisions we made. We highly recommend NOAH as a fantastic veterinary hospital! RID: 55528
Click to report rating    1/16/15   5     5     5     5   I have been going to North Oakville Animal Hospital for several years now. I have found the care I receive for two pets to be always above and beyond. All of the Dr's and staff and caring and professional. I am sure there are other discount fly by the seat of their pants type hospitals out there but that is not the type of medical care I would want. Keep up the good work and thanks for your care and professionalism. RID: 55482
Click to report rating    1/15/15   5     5     5     5   I have been a client of NOAH since 1998 when we got our first dog. I have always found the service to be excellent, the staff very knowledgeable and caring. Dr Sara showed great compassion when we had to say good bye to our first dog, she continued to show her caring when our current dog recently had a traumatic accident. You could'nt ask for a better vet and I would recommend this hospital to anyone. RID: 55466
Click to report rating    1/15/15   5     5     5     5   Thank you Sarah for looking after Tula when she had her eye infection. I appreciated your prompt attention to her condition and your follow up concern and compassion. Kat Downey RID: 55454
12/12/14   1     1     1     1   I'm very disappointed with NOAH's service.I took both my dogs there for many years & paid alot of money for visits, surgery for my older dog who needed teeth pulled. Then a year later he needed a huge sore removed from his mouth. My other dog has diabetes & everything was fine as long as I agreed to their $500 appointments & the tests they recommend. I get insulin & food from them every month ($100) & they ask me to make an appointment. Last year we went for the $500 appointment. Snoopy was a healthy Insulin stable dog but after the appointment he had a big sore on his rear leg & kennel cough. This year I said I didn't have the money. They said it's the law with the College of Veterinarians of Ont.(CVO) which is required to dispense medication. I checked with CVO & the law states timely visits, not $500 yearly appointments. Basically they won't give me insulin for my dog unless I agree. They have come down in price but I don't trust them. He gets sick after going there. RID: 54990
Click to report rating    7/16/13   4     4     4     1   The staff is friendly and seems knowledgeable. However, I share the sentiment of other reviewers that this clinic's main goal is to extract as much money as possible from you. A 10 minute consultation (taking my cats temperature, weight and listening to her breathing & heart) came in at over $80! In addition, I was told that I'd be sent home with a kit for a urine sample. Apparently "send home with" is code for "I will make you buy this kit for $20". Another example for the very high cost is the fee for a spay... found it for less than half at another vet near Dundas & 403. Again, the staff is friendly and service is good... but not worth that kind of money. RID: 45619
Click to report rating    5/16/13   1     1     1     1   Have had several terrible experiences at this clinic for my cat. Once vet insinuated he might be dying and would need blood work immediately... the emergency vet had no idea why, and didn't administer any blood work. Another time, he had run away from home for a few days, took him in to see whether he was fine. Doctor said everything was fine. Two days later his skin exploded in an abscess and he had to get emergency surgery. The emerg vet said this was something she should have been able to identify and treat before it got to that point! Very, very disappointed by poor knowledge of animals overall. My dog is healthy, but has a "mole" of sorts that the vet said she had never seen before. Emerg vet once said it was very common.... Just disappointed overall. RID: 42530
Click to report rating    11/12/12   5     5     5     5   Dr. Sarah is truly the best vet I have ever come across! She is extremely knowledgeable and treats both our dogs as if there were her own. The staff is also extremely polite each time we come and are always going above and beyond to ensure our visit runs smoothly. Even after one of our dogs finished being neutered they allowed him to stay in the back office with one of the other vets as he get anxiety being put in a crate. He was kept company till I arrived to pick him up which made me extremely happy knowing he was in good hands and well taken care of! I will follow Dr. Sarah and her practice in the event she ever decides to move it!!! RID: 38421
Click to report rating    8/13/12   5     5     5     5   We were referred to this clinic by a dear friend and so thankful for that referral. From the first day we stepped inside the office we were greeted so warmly and made to feel that our little puppy was the most 'special' puppy ever! Several doctors share in the practice and each shows a true love for the animals and takes care and time in treating one's concern, answering any questions, etc. At my former vet, there was always a feeling of guilt that perhaps we weren't doing enough towards the proper testings, etc for our puppy dog. But with NOAH I have complete faith and trust in anything that is recommended and never ever feel pressured or 'guilted'. The front desk staff is very warm and friendly and more than happy to help with anything that they can! Always feel very welcome walking in the door. And now, with the addition of office manager this past year, a practice that is exemplary with the caring of my pet, can only become even more awesome! Thank you always, NOAH! RID: 36481
Click to report rating    8/11/12   5     5     5     5   This is from far the best Vet Clinic in Oakville. Dr. Sarah and her team are extremely dedicated and friendly. They are very honest too. They are not trying to take you for a ride like other vet clinic I experience. Keep the good work NOAH! RID: 36426
Click to report rating    8/2/12   1     2     2     1   I find this vet clinic to be monetarily motivated. When my dog had to go back for treatment, my daughter had to take her because I was working. When the office found out it was my teenage daughter who was taking our dog for the appointment, the receptionist's first question was whether my daughter had the means to pay the bill. We had no outstanding balance, have been their patients for two years and unbeknownst to the receptionist, my daughter had my debit card. This is where that famous line from the movie is bang on: "show me the money"! RID: 36239
Click to report rating    4/16/12   3     3     3     1   Comment posted April 2012. As with other reviewers, this practice were VERY quick to want blood and urine tests without looking at the history of my dog and the full specialist exams that had already taken place. Completely dismissed meds that had been prescribed by another (UK based) vet and wanted tests to make sure. $640 (YES $640!!!) later and the tests were inconclusive. Their manner sucks and I won't be going to this vet again. RID: 33555
11/1/11   1     3     3     1   The vets don't listen. They tried to push vaccinations on me when I didn't need them. When my cat was sick with a urinary crystals, they suggested a treatment that was not going to work as the cat had a history of digestive disorders. I informed them of the cat's inability to transition well to a new diet (as we had finally found him a diet he could stand after 6 weeks of trying when we first got him) and it didn't seem to matter. Even though we wanted to put him down - they didn't respect this and 1) suggested more tests first, and then when the tests showed a disease, 2) suggested they take him and try to transition him and adopt him out instead of putting him down. The implication being we weren't trying, that we didn't know what we were talking about, that we weren't good parents. Sometimes treating an animal is worse than the disease, and certainly worse than putting him down. Expensive, and they didn't respect our wishes or listen. We will find another vet. RID: 28757
Click to report rating    6/11/10   4     5     5     5   Took my dog when he was having neck pain. It was a strange case and the vet unfortunately couldn't diagnose without referring us to a specialist. She was very understanding and comforting to us. Extremely friendly staff. I'm glad I took my dog to this clinic. RID: 18340
Click to report rating    5/8/08   4     4     1     3   Nice yet basic clinic, no bells and whistles. Most of the vets are competent, one who was not has left. Office manager difficult to deal with but the reception staff are warm and friendly. More expensive than other vets in the area but the standard of care is generally high. Tendancy to push sevices/treatments before determining if they are really necessary ie. a puppy from reputable breeder already de-wormed was given 2 additonal de-worming treatments and THEN fecal test. Would expect puppy already de-wormed to have fecal test and only be given additional de-worming treatment if fecal test showed worms. Blood tests are mandatory before any surgery, even spay/neuter and it can make spay/neuter cost prohibitive which is sad and unnecessary. All other vets in the area will spay/neuter without blood test. Punctuality is consistently poor - be prepared to wait. We have never been seen on time - wait is usually at least 15 minutes, has been up to 45 minutes for scheduled appointments. RID: 8416
