We live in SOUTH TAMPA and make the drive to see Dr. Hong. We have been going there since the 90's. We have had 2 English Bulldogs and now have a French Bulldog. Dr Hong is beyond competent and compassionate, but cares more about your animal and your animals care than billing. I will NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE and will put him up against any other vet in the Tampa area.

NEVER take your pet here. They run their office like a production line and care more about filling their schedule and billing, rather than the health of your pet. They have also dispensed the incorrect medication twice and it was labeled incorrectly. They also over charge for prescriptions (they have quoted me literally double).

Bad experience - I have been taking my dog here since she was 8 weeks old, and there were no problems. This time I took her for her annual vaccines at age 2 and they charged me for an exam (which took less than 2 minutes) without my consent, as well as a blood test. The visit, which I was only in there for her distemper vaccines, cost over $300. Never going here again.

This clinic is trust worthy! My pet recently cut his foot. After receiving a quote from London Regional Emergency Veterinarian Hospital that was in excess $600 for heavy sedation and a bandage which we declined, we headed to our regular vet at Northdale. We left with some pain killers and and some antibiotics and some good advice to take it easy for a few days. No heavy sedation was recommended and no bandages were applied because our vet suggested his wound would heal better if exposed to the open air. The bill was just over $200 and our pet was good as new within five days. These people are the best. This clinic puts pets before profits, and most importantly they never recommended heavily sedating or otherwise putting my dog at risk by recommending procedures that were both unnecessary, and potentially harmful. This clinic is hands down the best in town.

Very friendly staff! There is one lady, I think her name is Nancyvwho is very cold and rude. Exams always seem rushed. I get my dog food from there, it's very good quality and not badly priced.

I agree with several of the comments that have been submitted and in fact have changed vets because of the latest experience that I had. One of the staff at the front desk is very rude. I have been left sitting in the waiting area with two dogs for a half hour when examining rooms were open. I had to ask if I could go in a room. I arrived to drop off my dog for teeth cleaning and was left standing outside with him when there were people inside - the door was locked. And I arrived at the time I was given. I was told by one of the vets that my dog was old and not worth bothering with to have a cyst removed from his foot. The other vet did remove the cyst and it was fine. I had an emergency with one of my dogs just recently and called an hour before the clinic closed and was told to take her to the emergency clinic.

Terrible experience here.
Rushed Exam, didn't check my dog over fully, then gave our dog extra vaccines that we did not ask for or agree to, didn't tell me they cost more money. Bill was $180 for annual exam and vaccines, which is ridiculous! Then my dog had a bad reaction to having 5 vaccines in one day (regular 2, plus bord, lyme, lepto) and I called them, they said someone would call me back, and nobody ever did!! my dog was sick for 2 days! Would never go back there, they don't care about your pet, only money!!!

front desk staff is rude and use the word " miscommunication" as an excuse for not telling you about the extra fees they charge you AFTER the appointment or at the very last minute so that your forced to pay or cancel . ( not realistic for most people because we have work and planning and time off goes into post surgical care for our pets) The vets talk down to you when you ask question and seem like you wasting their time . Caught the front desk trying to charge me more for my dog after I had prepaid max weight all ready . They clipped his nail too short and it was bleeding on the way home , What kind of staff/vet doesn't know or care enough to do nail clipping properly ? Never going back and recommend people to stay away if you care about you pets .

I was very happy with their service but up until recently I brought my dogs in to get their teeth cleaned and was notified by them that if there was a need to pull out some teeth they would notify me. I was notified about pulling some of the back teeth out of one of my dogs, but was NEVER notified that front teeth were being extracted of any of my two dogs. Now my dogs cannot chew on their bones or pull anything as they did before. I am quite annoyed by the fact that they did a decision without consulting me first. I would not recommend taking your pets there for cleaning their teeth, you will get a very ugly surprise!

I am happy with the service at Northdale and find the staff friendly and caring. Dr. Granite is kind and gentle with my pet and completely confident with his expertise. I would recommend this clinic to all my friends if they love there pets.

Dr. Renata is personally a very wonderful vet however the staff is ill mannered and unaware of their surroundings. They never know which cat I'm bringing in even though they make the appointment. I had a follow up book and when I got there they realized I wasn't suppose to have my follow up for another 6 months. I would not recommend bringing pets to this facility if you truly care for their well being. They charge you for unnecessary shots and check ups and almost always tell you to get a teeth cleaning when your pet doesn't need one. They have offered me deals but have not followed through on them. I feel they are not true to their word and try to make you pay more then needed. HOWEVER dr renata is wonderful honest and to the point she was gentle with my cat and showed compassion. Love the dr hate the facility and it's staff.

Although the facility itself is dated and crowded, I very much like Dr. Sedlakova. I feel she's honest, straight-forward, and just a no BS kind of lady. I appreciate that. The prices I've paid for services have been reasonable. When my regular clinic was not available, this clinic made immediate time for my very sick 19 year old cat that had never been there. She was compassionate yet blunt. It was clear my cat was in very poor health and it was time to put her down. It was heart-breaking, but very honest. We went ahead with it on her advice. She gave us time after to sit with our cat. No rush. She also called the next day to see how we were doing. I'd never experienced such care from a vet before. Needless to say, I've switched clinics and go only here now. I'd recommend it to all.

I can't believe some of the negative comments. I have been very pleased with how they have treated me and my dog. I have only seen Dr. Granite and the front staff and have found them all friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. As to their cost I find it no better nor worse than any other vet. clinic. I highly recommend Northdale Clinic and will continue taking my dog Bailey for all his medical check ups. I should add that I also have him groomed with Dora and she is excellent.

The reception staff have always been wonderful. We have been taking our dogs there for 2 years. Dr. F and Dr. S are great, don't want Dr G near my dogs, he seems afraid of dogs! In general, the care is very good. I have had to speak up to get any concerns addressed. It seems a little more money hungry in the last few years and they suggest a lot of tests. I just ignored that and kept getting basic care. It is in a very convenient location and I can always get an appointment quickly.

The staff at Northdale are rude and immature. They try and take advantage of students and make them spend money on testing that they have already done. When asked to speak to a vet to further understand what needs to be done they said they would charge me $50. The staff at the front desk were disrespectful and talked down to me. I would NOT recommend you to go there. Find another vet!

Dr. Renata is very kind, knowledgeable and good with animals. As an individual vet, I highly recommend her. HOWEVER, this clinic was recently taken over by a US franchise which I can only assume is responsible (at least in part) for my recent negative experience: I took Cat #1 in her for annual checkup and was advised to get her teeth cleaned (all else was clear). $350 later she's got clean teeth but ALSO the added bonus of an upper respiratory infection she picked up during her stay. Of course (as they live in the same house), Cat #1 passed this infection onto Cat #2.
I'm then instructed to bring Cat #2 into the clinic to check the severity of his infection and slapped with a $100 bill for antibiotics.
Now I don't mean to split hairs, but seeing as BOTH of my cats were HEALTHY prior to going to the vet, should I, the owner, really be expected to pay to repair their health when their illnesses were due to NO fault of my own? Not very impressed. Seriously thinking about switching ve

I feel they do the bare minimum and have had animals come out with things they never saw making me feel they never even looked. I would not recommend them if you love your pet.

The staff are great and caring. We have been going to this visit for 14yrs. It is a small clinic, wait times are good, and I have never had difficulty getting any of my pets in at the last minute for emergencies. I have recommended this clinic to many friends and family.

Dr. Sedlakova is my regular vet, and easily the best one I've ever had. Staff are so warm and friendly, and even my dog loves going in! Place always smells clean and wait is never too long despite being usually fairly busy. Vet is intelligent, well spoken and very caring; always has cost effective solutions. My dog has gotten surgery there twice and both times was successfull with quick healing, and the staff seem genuinely happy to see her healthy. Wish there was a higher rating then five; NAH is perfect 10 across the board!!
