On November 21st I brought my healthy rabbit in to be neutered. I was told by this vet that they had an emergency that day and had to wait to neuter my rabbit until the next day on the 22nd. According to records my rabbit was in fine health and was able to be neutered, which was what was done that day. I was never told of the condition I would see my rabbit coming home in. After I brought Stevie my rabbit in the house he couldn't even walk. He had lost complete control of his bowels and bladder and couldn't move his back legs at all. I called the vet and the rescue that had been as big of a problem through all of this. They were both on the phone with me listening to me crying and saying "I know my rabbit didn't leave my house like this" and the vet and the rescue kept trying to insist that my rabbit was already like this. Problem is the rescue had helped me transfer my rabbit due to my works schedule. I will never forgive this vet. My rabbit died on 12/20/2014. RIP STEVIE

I don't know why, but, I feel like the previous review is from the vet themselves. This vet is OK with avians - not great. Known to be a better "pocket-pet" vet (rabbits, etc.) Also has "issues" with other avian vets that affect her professionalism. Over-prescribed medication for one of our birds for a condition and also told us to "wait it out" for a serious symptom he was experiencing and when took to another vet, was told that it was too much of the wrong medication and to never "wait it out" for that serious symptom. This vet actually caused more harm than good in the long run for our pet.

This is an excellent facility for birds and exotic pets. That is all they do. They do not service dogs or cats. This makes for an excellent atmosphere for boarding prey animals. They will not be subjected to the sounds of predators. Even though I moved to the Orlando area, I returned to board my rabbits and ducks here because I could not find a central Florida facility that did not also board dogs and cats. The primary vet and owner is Susan Kelleher, DVM. She is a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians as well as a member of the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians. There is always at least one vet intern and multiple technicians. The staff is very friendly and informative. The appointments may tend to run late as the day wears on, as the vets tend to be thorough and take the time to explain things. I have never felt rushed. The price is not cheap (what vet is?), but for the quality of service I have received, I am quite satisfied.
