Click to report rating    10/7/17   5     5     5     4   Staff were great with our puppy and very caring, giving her treats and talking sweetly to help relax her. Spent lots of time explaining things to us and answering all our questions to our satisfaction. They do not try to sell unwanted foods or products to us and do not want to over-vaccinate. They are a bit expensive, however, but we do like this place. They did follow-up with us to see how our puppy was doing since her visit. RID: 64796
Click to report rating    1/13/15   5     5     5     5   I visited the Chidiac Animal Hospital for the first time. I found this clinic clean, personnel competent and compassionate. Dr. Chidiac takes time with the patient and does explain the treatment patiently. Great overall rating of 5. RID: 55423
Click to report rating    10/6/13   3     5     5     5   The vet is a qualified homeopathic as well as conventional vet. Well worth the drive to get proper care for our pets. As far as cost goes I have found this clinic to be very reasonable compared to others. Had my cat in for digestive problems she was wonderful and did five x-ray to make sure of the cause. Gave medication for it and what a huge difference. I would trust no one but Dr. Chidiac with my furry family's lives. Wonderful place. RID: 47452
Click to report rating    7/4/13   5     5     4     4   We have had our dogs at this clinic for four years and re very happy with the knowledge and skills of Dr Chidiac. She listens and does not support over vaccination. She is also very well informed in homeopathic medicine and does not jump immediately to what is pushed by drug companies. We find her somewhat more expensive than local vets but are willing to drive some distance and feel that charges are reasonable. RID: 43471
12/29/12   1     5     1     3   Did not check my dog properly and afraid of large dogs .When i asked for antibiotics Willow gave me ear drops so that i would have to come back a second time and pay twice. Around 360 for an ear infection , way too much considering she did not even look at his ears and i have never heard of any vet taking a dogs temp from under the arm pit ! maybe i am behind the times i dont know lol. RID: 39288
Click to report rating    12/8/12   5     5     5     5   I had my cat Tigger in for a problem with his ears caused from over vaccination from a vet clinic in Bracebridge I've used for many years who couldn't think outside the box. After many cortisteriods and pills for allergies no help until I went to Chidiac Animal Hospital. His ears are fine now. Love the clinic and staff. y one cat pees and poops going to the vets and they were kind enough to clean him up before sending him home unlike the other clinic I went to how sent him home covered in urine after the sugery on his hip. I was really upset . The staff are freindly and kind to my animals and the vet goes out of her way to help and it very easy to talk to.I recommend her and the clinic to anyone I talk with. Excellent care! RID: 38948
Click to report rating    9/23/12   3     4     3     3   While I can say this clinic is very clean, staff is friendly and they are open to alternative medicine (sorta), what I cannot say is this qualifies as an integrative vet in my opinion. They automatically try to de-worm your pet, without even asking your permission; so if you aren't paying attention, down the hatch it goes! And, they push, push, push veterinary diets and poor quality foods. When clients who desire natural and dietary changes to resolve problems present and the vet is out of her realm of knowledge, she is not willing to learn; but rather suggests veterinary diets, even when clearly not wanted by the paying client. If you need clinical work done, this place will do the job, or if your animal is quite sick, they will offer dietary suggestions, look to some alternative approaches, BUT there seems to be no PREVENTATIVE nutrition and I have not seen anyone I would consider qualified discuss homeopathy. I expect much higher levels of knowledge. RID: 37387
Click to report rating    7/26/12   1     4     2     1   A few years ago we took our dog to be neutered there. I went to another clinic in the area for something else and the new vet told me they forgot to remove one of his testicles! I had to go back to have another surgery done to remove the testicle they left in! RID: 36086
Click to report rating    7/9/12   5     5     3     3   It bothers me that homepathic remedies are freely suggested and dispensed, for a fee of course, but it seems no one here is certified as a Homeopathic Vet. RID: 35545
6/15/12   1     5     1     1   June 5/12 had my boy Onyx in for ear infection, was examined by Dr Johnson, she attempted to look @ his ears 2x, Onyx grumbled & pulled away, she did not attempt to check again, she decided to prescribe ear drops based on my observations of Onyx. I asked her to prescribe oral antibiotics instead seeing as his ears were so inflammed. Two days later had to go back for the oral antibiotics. June 13 received registered mail from them stating they were terminating veterinary services for Onyx. Apparently, Willow Johnson is uncomfortable with large dogs. I am not surprised since she only graduated 2 years ago. Miss JOhnson should stick to smaller breed dogs and leave the Big Dogs to the professionals. Total Bill For Ear Infection= $351.25 RID: 35000
Click to report rating    4/20/12   4     5     5     4   I had my first visit here with my 2 bulldogs and was extremely satisfied with my visit. The office was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly but a tad reserved. As this was a first time visit and we didn't know each other I was happy with it. More important to me was the fact that no one was afraid of my dogs. They did not judge them by appearance as most do. They listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. They did not rush me or make me feel like I was wasting time. After my visit they called me twice at to check up on Jersey's progress. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a Vet who cares about you and your pet... not the money your willing to spend. RID: 33641
Click to report rating    3/8/12   5     5     4     4   We are clients at this facility and must say that thier care and compasion for and about the annimals is top notch. Timmming is sometimes a problem but if every client is treated like we were then it is expected to run a bit behind. Overall they listened and also any time you call there is someone on the line who is able to answer your questions . I really appriciated that for the times I called and the peace of mind that I had was awesome. Cost wise,Yes it may cost but for myself I feel that I was charged fairly for the type of service that I received. Thank you and keep up with the good work RID: 32744
Click to report rating    9/13/11   1     5     1     1   Overpriced voodoo medicine. Save your money and go to a conventional veterinarian. Beautiful facilities with nice equipement. Staff are rude, impatient and surly. Dr. usually runs 30 to 40 minutes late. RID: 27574
Click to report rating    7/9/11   5     5     5     3   Somewhat pricey, but compassionate and caring. Spend plenty of time with my dogs, and get down on the floor with them to examine. Supportive of my feeding choices, limited vaccinations, and titre testing. Listen to what I have to say. I would not switch to anyone else. RID: 26102
