Claire Cournoyer RID: 40430
Click to report rating    1/21/13   1     1     1     1   I too my dog to see this vet because he had minor eye problem. During the visit, he put a few eye drops in each eye and insisted my dog needed vaccines. He injected 5 vaccines at all and charged about $500 for the visit. When I got home, mny dog started vomiting all around inside the house. I took it back to the vet, I don't know what he did but I got another $200 bill. back at home, my dog continued being sick, vomiting and having diharia, most probably side effects from unecessary vaccines a friend told me. I was told to keep the dog home and not go go back to the vet. Afet a few days, my dog got well. It costs me $700 in one week, a real rip-off. RID: 39790
Click to report rating    1/25/11   2     1     3     3   my 10 yr old lab was diagnosed with mild cushings and diabetes. Dr vaillancourt thought it best to try and control the cushings which he hoped would then control his diabetes. This was not the case however as my dog developed severe diabetes (DKA) as a result of not being treated. He started vomitting fluids, would not eat and could not get up. We rushed him to this vet hospital. He was put on IV fluids, but when I later called to see how my dog was doing, I was told there is no vet on wednesday. I also discovered that he would be unsupervised from 8pm until 8am the next morning. Although my dog was kept on iv fluids, he got severely dehydrated. Dr Vaillancourt did not see my dog until the afternoon of the following day. We were not referred somewhere where there was 24 hr care, and instead my dog suffered for two days not seeing a vet. We finally took him to the DMV where he was properly diagnosed in 1/2 hour.It was too late however and we had to put him down. RID: 22346
