This is an amazing veterinary clinic. I brought my rats to Dr. Yelen multiple times throughout their lifespan and he always did an amazing job caring for them. When he didn't know something about rats' health he was willing to look it up. I almost always could book a same day appointment and he made it obvious that he genuinely cared about animals. He was not out for money and would do his best to make my bill as affordable as possible.

We have been to other Vets in the past with previous pets, so we can compare. We have no hesitation in recommending this Clinic. The clinic may not be fancy, but a fancy clinic doesn't mean you are getting the best care. Dr. Yelen and his staff have shown nothing but a genuine compassion and concern for our cats. We have never had a vet clinic call after vaccines were given to see how the cats were. That is a step above and beyond. One of our cats has serious gum disease, something she had when we rescued her. Dr. Yelen discussed several options, one being a laser treatment which we opted for. He has been doing laser treatments on her, small doses for her to tolerate, and the effect is amazing. The time, care and thought that go into each patient is amazing. We trust and recommend this clinic highly.

Dr yelen is the bets vet I have ever gone to. He takes his time to get to know you and your pet. They always follow up on your pets if they have had vaccines, surgeries, were not feeling well etc. He has been wonderful to my two dogs and my rats. I have not met a vet willing to learn rat medication, care etc. He is willing to learn and has actually had pet rats for years him self. He has been wonderful with the four rat neuters so far. I would not thrust another vet with my rodents. My chihuahua has had many allergy reactions and had a inguinal Hernia, He has been able to help our chihuahua with her allergies and the hernia surgery went perfect. Our toy poodle ha also had dentistry there, and everything went great. Dr Yelen is the best vet I have ever met.

Dr. Yelen is a very kind considerate person. He is truly interested in the health of the animal he treats. He follows up with personal phone calls (not his techs) which not a lot of vets do these days. We have had several of our pets there and we are always happy with the care. He always has suggestions for a pets mental health as well as physical health. Yes, the clinic is older and not as showy as some but his prices are reasonable and his passion over rides all of that.

I have been going to this clinic for 3 years now and know what value Dr. Yelen and his staff are putting into the care of my animals. Dr. Yelen has a real passion for them. My little one that I had adopted had some problems with her front legs and had no fur. Between Dr. Yelen and his temp vet they were able to bring her back to happy healthy dog. She runs, and is furry as furry can be. The facilities are a little older but they have done a good job cleaning it up the best they can. They can get a little behind in appointments depending what it is going on, which is expected anywhere, but they do there best to get you seen as soon as possible. If they find they are behind even more they gave us a call to let us know and asked if we could come later or if another day would be better, just so we wouldn't be waiting forever in the waiting room. They are very accommodating, very helpful and can tell they are in it for the animals. Great value for great love for our pets.

There were so many red flags that I truly felt our pet's health was at risk if I followed the advice of Dr. Yelen & the other temporary vet there. Vets did not follow up about our cat's care, then wrote possibly inaccurate info about cat's care. The temp vet wasted our time & made recommendations on the care of our cat without actually examining the animal. Temp vet recommended test that did not seem appropriate. Dr. Yelen could not answer standard questions about a surgical procedure we were considering. Certain techniques vet tech demonstrated were out of date & would have caused unnecessary pain & possibly scarring. Very unhappy with handling of our cat (cat did much better at a cat only clinic). Dr. Yelen showed lack of understanding of info he recommends on his own website. While he has some agreeable viewpoints, we really felt it would be very risky to have surgery performed there or to follow the recommendations he or the temp vet made.

I have the privilege of working with Dr Yelen on an outside basis from his clinic..however I have been to his clinic and I find it a great facility to deal with. In response to a previous comment..Many human medications are prescribed for cats and dogs..its not a mistake by the veterinarian..some animals do not react the same as others...Dr. Yelen is a very caring person..I volunteer at a cat shelter where Dr. Yelen DONATES his time and energy EVERY SUNDAY to give our cats/kittens their shots. This saves us thousands of dollars. I DO NOT consider him a greedy person..He checks out any issues we have to make sure our cats are healthy..This is much more than some other people would do..I quite personally find it a blessing to work with Dr. Yelen each Sunday..I have learned a lot about caring for the cats that I wouldnt have otherwise. Do not judge someone until you have walked in their shoes...He is a very dedicated and caring person..Not everyone would give of themselves like he has.

I'm not really sure why I took our pup here in the first place but have regretted it ever since. The female vet Shannon is great but Yelen (the owner) is awful. He prescribed meds for my pup (human meds) that made him sick and then wanted to charge me for another exam again! Very greedy and very expensive. Just terrible. Don't go here! Dirty facilities. On more than one occasion I saw urine on the floor which had not been cleaned up. I'm so relieved that we have switched vets!

Great staff. Reasonable fees. All my questions answered and Roxi felt at ease with the girls and Dr Yelen. Location may be a bit out of the way for some, depending where you live- but plenty worth it! Ample parking too. Avid animal advocates; always active in finding forever homes for those fur babies that need one.

Good clinic, good location, convenient parking. They all seem to love cats and dogs. Take the time to explain everything. Client education is important to them. I feel lucky to have discovered them.
