Our 4 lb Maltipoo dog had a blood test showing a liver disorder. Her liver won't process anesthetics. But the vet wanted to put her under for spaying anyway. We refused and took her to a vet internal med specialist, who told us she could die if put under general anesthesia. Also, the vet left our Maltipoo with a young tech who tried to draw blood. After the tech stuck her with a needle more than five times, I told her to stop. Our dog had black-and-blue bruises. Never again!
