This was one of the best vets in Toronto, Dr Greg Usher. It has been sold to one of the major conglomerates which owns most of the vet clinics in Toronto. All they want to do is run tests at a great cost $$$$.. it’s not about your pet or compassion. Do not recommend!!

According to the Usher website emergency appointments are offered yet when I requested one on Wednesday I was told they were not an emergency clinic and suggested I try another vet. I have been with Usher for many years and should have been accommodated. My 18 year old cat was sick and would probably had to have been euthanized. It is stressful enough dealing with a sick pet without having to deal with a receptionist who came across as cold and uncaring who did not even know what services are offered. I found another vet who went above and beyond to accommodate me. Needless to say I will never return to Usher nor will I recommend them. My pets deserve better service.

I have been going to Usher for years. Yes, they are expensive, but they are convenient and they have only once not been able to fit my dog in for an appointment or for boarding. They care about pets, but I have to say I always come out of my appointments with "huge" bills. Patty is fantastic. She is not rude. She has a unique sense of humor. I really get along with her well and I know she LOVES my dog. She always makes us feel like we are welcome.

Dreadful person on desk, Patty. So rude and abrupt, thinks she’s a vet. Dr. Usher a truly caring vet, but agree with others, rather expensive. $100+/- just to see the vet, plus all extras.

Best animal clinic in the city. The doctors are first rate. The support staff are friendly and eager to help in any way. The staff treated my dogs as though they were their own. They went above and beyond to make sure my cat was as relaxed as possible and explained everything in a clear concise manner, and I was treated with kindness and respect. Pricing reflects the high level of treatment. I recommend Usher Animal Hospital with 100% confidence that their pet's well-being is the top priority for this wonderful team.

There was a time that Usher stood head & shoulders above all Vet clinics and as such earned our loyatlty for years. I'm afraid that recently the professionalism and high standard of care has been lost. From the increasing rudeness of Patty who seems to run the show from reception to their cryptic policy "we'll just take your pet in the back for a few minutes while you wait" to mostly indifferent and inexperinced technicians they have now become a commodity shop only interested in charging ridiculous fees to subsidize their expensve real estate on Merton. The last straw for us was a careless and negligent physical that caused harm to our pet. They did not accept responsibility - rather they took the opportunity to charge us more money to correct their own mistakes. Sorry Usher, you've been relegated to the conversation topic of how not to run a caring responsible vet clinic in Toronto. Readers - run as fast as you can away from the rudeness and ridiculous value-for-money - your precio

The staff at reception can be very rude. They don’t seem to care at all for clients. One can only assume that the low standards here are those set by management.

Have been going to Dr. Usher for 15 years and have never had a bad experience. he always takes the time to call us and discuss visits, and his staff also do follow ups for non medical issues. Can not say enough about the level of care.

Have had many great experiences at Usher's! The clinic is clean and the staff friendly. The doctors are knowledgeable and explain exactly what they plan to do for your pet with you and make sure you are comfortable with the plan. I have always felt like I was part of the process, and they are were always willing to help if I had any questions. They even follow up on medical issues with phone calls to make sure your pet is ok. I would definitely recommend this clinic!

Took my puppy for her first grooming after being referred by a friend to SARA! Terrible experience, I still can't believe I actually paid these ****s. The level of care was offensive, the grooming incomplete & unsafe, receptionist RUDE!!! Sara not a professional, doesn't have control over her table and I would beg anyone considering them to avoid this clinic at any cost. Not worth $1.00

Our dog Honey is an elderly 15 year old cocker spaniel. Dr. Wozniak truly saved her life! I thought that it was time to euthanize her; she had stopped eating, had diarrhea and was lethargic. Dr. Wozniak realized we had limited finances and suggested a number of tests, but came up with a good compromise and prescribed her a steroid. Honey made a complete turn around, and I can't believe it's been over a year and she's still with us. Thank you to the wonderful staff of Usher Animal Hospital. I really appreciate all you do.

Our dog developed kennel cough, so Dr. Wozniak gave us some pills for him and sent us home. We tried giving him the first dose, but he started vomiting. I called the office right away and was advised by Patty (the nutty front desk person who should have been put out to pasture 20 years ago) to keep trying to feed him. It didn't work so I called back and had to insist that we speak to Dr. Wozniak directly. When she finally called back, she blamed the vomiting on us saying we didn't administer the pills correctly and he was having an allergic reaction to them. I took our dog to VEC and the vet said Dr. Wozniak should have given him a cough suppressant, thanks to Dr. Wozniak we spent over $1,000 at the VEC when he could have avoided a lot of suffering if she hadn't been so negligent. Usher offers free anal gland expression but good luck getting an appointment if you are dealing with Patty. She's rude, unprofessional, and gives owners medical advice when she isn't even a veterinarian.
