This is by far the WORST vet I've been to. The staff are rude and show no compassion towards the animals. Their dog boarding/isolation room is located in the same room as the laundry machines. The room reeks of chemicals (bleach, laundry detergent, etc). If a dog's nose is more sensitive than humans, how are they supposed to stay over night let alone weeks in there when I couldn't stand being in there for even a minute?! Not to mention they'll be stuck listening to the loud laundry machine banging right in front of them. One of their vets show no affection towards animals and has no work ethics as well. He gives me the impression that he has no passion for his job, he's just going through the motions for the money. Would not recommend.

If you need a cheap vet look no further. Routine exam is about 30 dollars, which is roughly 35 dollars CHEAPER than a few other vets I've visited in Richmond. Surgeries and medication are also a bargain compared to other locations. One vet has a thick accent and I was quite put off with them, they were brisk and immediately moved on to suggest a dental cleaning when my animal was in a great deal of pain from what I assume turned out to be a pulled muscle. However there is a younger man there that I have also seen and he was extremely through and was 99\% understandable. He also suggested dental work, but in a much more approachable way. He did not suggest unnecessary antibiotics or painkills -- which we would have bought if he'd said we needed them; we were going there expecting to need some. Place looks dated and on one visit rooms had a strong soapy odor but if I get a decent vet at an exceptional price for city dwells, that's all I care about.

Front staff are rude. Doctors spend 2 minutes and give out random unneccessary medications and tests. Did not give results in a timely manner which was too late for my dog.

Our dog's first visit required a gland expression, when the problem did not go away, wend back 1 week later, and the treatment was totally different. Supposed different issue, why was this not addressed a week ago. More money extracted from my wallet. This place is a total scam.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC. I started my cat on a new diet of Blue Buffalo (which I recommend you stay away from too), and within two days my cat was constantly in the litter box, licking her vaginal area non-stop, and she even urinated outside of the box. I took her to the vet, and Dr. Malhans said he needed to run a urinalysis, x-rays, and blood tests. Total bill: $450 without meds. My boyfriend was outraged, and I felt that something was wrong too. He phoned 3 other vets, and none of them could understand why he ran all of those tests. With the cat's symptoms (consistent with crystals), they said they would have tested ONLY the urine first and then if nothing was found, they would have proceeded with other testing. Testing and exam should have cost $100 (same with all 3 vets). We confronted the vet, and he became extremely defensive and then said he would refund our money for the x-rays and blood work. Glad I got a refund, but I AM DISGUSTED BY HIS CONDUCT.

I think this place is pretty good for a vet clinic. The vets here are very professional and they don't charge you on a regular check up when you bring your dog or cat to get a shot. Most animal clinics do charge you for just a regular check up but this place is nice enough not to. Also the staff here are nice and polite too. The vet is very attentive with my dogs and told me everything I needed to know about my dogs health condition. I noticed some vets don't go into detail about your dogs health or if its some minor health issues they never say anything. I would recommend coming here again.

The vet is great, but some of the staff could use a few lessons in politeness. The prices are very good and I have never been asked to do un necessary tests or give meds that aren't needed.
