We are so lucky to have Centennial Animal Hospital in our community. For 12 years, 3 dogs, & 2 cats, each and every doctor, vet tech, assistant, & admin have not only been good, they've been EXCELLENT! I trust them completely, based on years of multiple visits & life-saving & enhancing procedures that allowed my pets to live statistically longer and more robust lives.

Centennial is one of the best vets in central Muskoka. They are knowledgable, professional and caring. They are not the cheapest but in this area you get what you pay for. This area has high rents, and not a lot of population density, so you don't find a lot of bargain basement pricing, and if you do, you need to scrutinize the care. I've had nothing but good experiences at this clinic. The building itself is well designed so that you have lots of space in the lobby and you're not in a tiny waiting room surrounded by other animals. The vets are excellent and the staff are professional. Their recommendations consider both common sense and scientific facts. I was surprised to see negative reviews, I guess most people who visit a rating site want to trash a place. Many people 'drop in' expecting to get emergency care when they aren't even members of the clinic and are surprised when they need to pay something up front. This vet is very caring but they also need to pay their overhead.

The veterinary clinic clearly lets you know it is all about money and charging you after hours prices even when you phoned previously before the visit and we given given a quote and they want to change when you arrive to be triple the original consultation price quoted on a Saturday morning when they are open. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone nor will I ever return to the clinic to entrust the care of my dog to them again.

Although there are a couple good vets in this office, on the whole I find them to be uncaring and unknowledgable. I find the clinic overpriced and always get the sense they are more concerned about money than my pet. They don't know much about pet nutrition and even less about alternative treatments for animals. When dealing with a torn cruciate they did not even have the equipment to take proper x-rays and I had to travel to Barrie to get hem done. They made me feel guilty for not performing a $3000 operation that would only extend my dog's life for MAYBE 4 months. They are fine for routine exams and vaccinations but if you need a vet for any other reason I recommend going elsewhere!

I no longer live in the area, but when I did my dog, 5 cats and cockatiel were all treated with the utmost care by the staff and vets at Centennial. My dog was even EXCITED to go and see the vets. Over all the years and many, many appts, I never once had a problem with the excellent treatment, diagnosis, or aftercare by any of the doctors. It's an excellent, top-notch facility with extremely high standards of cleanliness, knowledge and care. My pet's care ran from routine vaccinations, spay/neuter, chronic care (arthritis), geriatric care (thyroid, teeth), and emergency care. I can honestly say my pets were given A+ treatment every single time. I would HIGHLY reccommend this animal hospital.

Not impressed with this clinic. I've spent thousands here and was not impressed my one cat had hip surgery and was sent home covered in urine. I also told them I had taken the other cat to a Homoepathis clinic for a second opinion on his ear problem and the vet there wanted to look at his file. Staff told me seeing I had taken him to this other clinic they would Now charge me an Emergency fee anytime I bring him back here. All I wanted was something to help my pet you would think they would appreciate and work with the other vet for the good of the pet after all that is their job isn't it. I will never go back here again and highly don not recommend them to anyone. All about the money like someone else stated!

My 2 dogs died because the vet did not understand the situation and thought she did not have the antidote so save the dogs(when in fact alcohol could have saved them from antifreeze poisoning.) She sent me on to another hospital and then it was too late. She needs more training and the hospital still stands behind her and her decision.Therfore I rate the staff as bad( as they are untrained and uncaring). I sat on the floor with my animals and they did not offer me any comfort. The facilities are average. Punctuality is bad as I kept trying to rush the vet after we had the blood test confirming poisoning, to let me take the dogs and she just moved so slow and spent most of my time there phoning other vets. Monetary is bad obviously because I dont want to pay them when they could have easily saved my dogs and the vet was to inept to administer the antidote.

We called for an appointment for our new puppy and were in 2 days later. Just a booster shot, but the staff member on the phone was extremely helpful. Free advice on potty training and treats was offered. When we attended we didn't wait in a noisy waiting room - we went to an examining room right away. The vet and her assistant were gentle, knowledgeable and patiently answered a new owners' many questions. The clinic was recommended by a friend and we will continue to use their services...

There are several Veterinarians at this 'hospital'. Never have I encountered such a cold and uncaring group of people. It's all about the $$ for these people - NOT about the animals!
