I stored 6 straws of our late dog with them and when we became too old to have any more dogs we tried to cancel services. $25/month late fees for services not even rendered. Now they say they will not discard semen until bill is paid. I will warn everyone I can to stay clear of this practice. Unbelievable.

Dr. Goodman produced for us with a side-by-side when other, local vets failed--on more than one occasion (including during the pandemic, when noone else was doing repro). She is knowledgeable, accommodating and kind, and Janet on her staff was patient with our MANY stupid questions as first-timers. I recommended a woman who got one of my pups across country to her for a fresh-chilled shipment, and they accomodated a local, inexperienced dog on no notice at all--also a SUCCESS! Far less expensive than anyone near my home. I selfishly hope she never retires.

She took my boxer puppies 3 days early so she could have her weekend free. They were born tiny and missing hair on their legs and faces. They were then rubbed so roughly by the inexperienced staff at VSEC that they came home with swollen jaws and severely damaged skin. We lost 4/10. She should repeat her veterinary oath..... first do no harm! ??

Melissa Goodman is arrogant, rude, and overly impressed with her credentials that she'll spend your and your ****'s precious time telling you how wonderful she is then launch into an unasked for, and time-consuming, lecture about dog reproduction. My **** did not get pregnant from the AI and she, who is supposed to be an expert, should have not done an AI knowing what her progesterone levels were. She is definitely unprofessional and unethical and I contemplated reporting her to the PA veterinary board but needed to let it go and have her take up any more of my time.

DO NOT USE DR MELISSA GOODMAN!! She is rude, self rightous, abusive to breeding animals as well as arrogant and cocky. She admits to having bad billing practices (this is where she gets you by the balls), does not send yearly storage bills and then when she does she wants it paid within 30 days. Wanted to move frozen straws and they did what they could to make it difficult for me, were condescending in emails and tried to OVERCHARGE me for storage for the next 10 months after I had picked up what was stored!!! Why on earth would I agree to pay her to store air! Are you kidding me Dr Goodman! When I questioned the bill I found an additional hidden "packaging fee' of $165 added on my bill!!! She is a RIPOFF!! She said if I didn't come in with cash to pay in full I was not getting my frozen semen. Her fees were "Non negotiable".....never told me what 'packaging' I was paying for! I even brought the transfer tank so she didn't pack anything but her wallet. VERY UNETHICAL!!!!

Was told by Dr. Jeglum that she could have our beloved golden "up and behaving like a puppy by the weekend" if we did her Chemotherapy treatment for lymphoma. I explained that husband was out of work,we didn't have alot of money. She assured me the chemo would work. Not only did she not have her up and running like a puppy, we had to bring her back to them in a few days where they gave her a blood transfusion, more oral chemo and told us that this would now help put her into remission. She died two days later and we had spent another $1300 on the transfusion and oral chemo. I called to let them know that our golden had died. I asked if they would refund the money for the medications that we purchased the previous visit (two days before) and they said I could donate it back, in case a client came in who couldn't afford to buy the chemo. I can't believe they wouldn't take back the meds and had made false claims that they would cure our dog.

Melissa Goodman DVM failed to properly package a fresh chilled**** shipment to my vet and the**** arrived warm and dead. Her negligence cost me my breeding program before it even got started. Goodman expected to be paid for her failure anyway. When making arrangements, I was not warned by her staff that she could not package a Saturday shipment for a Monday delivery with confidence. They happily accepted my credit card info and gave me the impression it was a routine procedure. I was even pressured into buying expensive insurance for the shipment. The shipper (FedEx) they had me use refused to pay the claim since it was the packaging and not the shipper's fault. My own receiving veterinarian even told me the**** was not packaged good enough for a two day trip. Goodman would not accept responsibility and I contested the charge. She then went after the stud dog owner for payment. In my opinion Goodman is remorseless & about money & compassion is way down the list of priorities.
