Care is ok, staff are ok, but look elsewhere for your supplies (food, meds, etc) as they have a crazy high mark up (as do all other VCR corporatized clinics), I've found all items for up to 30% less elsewhere in clinics owned by one or two vets instead of a conglomerate. Procedures, surgeries, checkups and blood work can also be found for much cheaper elsewhere. Shop around!

I haven't been there for years exactly because of the other comments. My last straw was how mean they were to my dog for a nail trim. They took her in a room. She bit her tongue and it bled, and she peed. I was charged double the price as I was told it took 2 people to do it - 1 to hold her down. She had a muzzle mark on her nose for a week. After that I took her to a groomers, who had no problem cutting her nails, lickety split, for $10. No one holding her down and no muzzle.

I've going there for years and spent lots of money here for my animals, but I find them too expensive for teeth cleaning and blood work. I'm up front about taking my animals out to Airdrie or Cochrane to vets that cost less for teeth cleaning, but the manager is snappy and rude to me. Not only to me but others who have called them on behalf of a question for a prescription or medical records that are needed for a procedure. I put up with it many times thinking they are having a bad day and kept going back. After the 3rd rude comment made to me, and another receptionist that needed info, I finally have given up on this clinic. The vet has snapped at my pharmistist when I wasn't given the right paperwork by his staff over the phone, the manager snapped at me more then once over their staff not sending things correctly. I had blood work done there last yr over $600.00 then got vaccines, blood work and exam done and it only cost 340.00 out in Airdrie, so I'm going there from now on. Sad..

I have had good and bad experiences with the staff and vets here. They have always been very good with handling our animals. One of the last times we brought our pet in for an issue, after the fact they included a check-up fee that they 'forgot' to tell us that they would include because we hadn't had him into the clinic for a year. Even if the check-up is a 10 second run-over, you get dinged for the full check-up price. I felt shamed by the vet for not wanting to put my old dog through a major surgery, which I wasn't pleased about. On the plus side, they did allow us to return a bottle of unopened medication we had just purchased for our pet who had passed away.

Knowledgeable staff.Definitely following a business model. We have been taking our animals there for 15 years and they still don't know who we or our pets are. While other vets may give you a break on certain costs, this clinic will charge you as much as they possibly can. At the same time, you can be assured that the diagnosis is correct.
