Favourite vet I have ever been to. I went there once just to grab a product off the shelf and Dr Hunter came out and asked what I was looking for and recommended a product that was much better for what I needed and around the same price. It really impressed me that he personally helped customers when he could, so next time I needed a vet I took my dog there.
My dog gets nervous at the vet, but relaxes a bit as soon as she sees him. He dealt with the problem right away and had the chance to encourage me to get other expensive work done... but instead he explained why those next steps probably weren't necessary at this point. He thoroughly explained everything and, despite having spent a lot of time with me, asked if I had other concerns and then proceeded to address those concerns too. I loved that he was not rushing me out.
He provides a level of customer service that is hard to find now and I would recommend him to anyone.

I had my dog there on an emergency once and I was really pleased with all that were involved. There were two girls up front that greeted me and knew their stuff! The doctor was dealing with another emergency but was able to come on and check on my dog. I have since switched clinics and am pretty happy I did. These guys are really nice.

My daughter and I spent 8 hours driving to a vet hospital in the US after the vet at Columbia Summit suspected cancer. The cat got blood work, an ultrasound, a ct and a needle biopsy at the hospital all within 6 hours and we then drove another 8 hours back home arriving at 2:00am. THe care was amazing but it ended at the border. Turns out the cat has an infection that needs an antibiotic and the vet at Columbia Summit can't be bothered after three days of calling him to read the reports the hospital faxed over and provide the antibiotics needed to help the cat breath and eat. So much for valuing pets as family members.

Very friendly and helpful when dealing with my dog who was vomiting and we came in on emergency. I would go here again.

I just found this site, and if Dr. Hunter reads this he will definitely remember us. We had just moved here in 2003 from an area endemic to Blastomycosis. 4 months of treatment, biopsies, aspirates and numerous requests by myself to start my dog on Itraconazole due to my own research were all denied. Only after a digit amputation and biopsy was performed were my suspicions confirmed and treatment finally started. My dog was days from being put down, and cost, including meds exceeded $4000. She still bears the scars of what she went through, but is now 13 years old and extremely healthy and happy in her senior years. A lot of time has passed since then and would hope that Dr. Hunter listens to his patients' owners better than before. Because he is the only vet at this clinic it can be frustrating to get in to see him if an illness warrants follow-up. I have also run into staff at other clinics that had worked for him. No good words were exchanged.

Friendly staff, they took the time to educate me on why dental health was important, and did my dental exam for Free and gave me product samples for Rudy my pug to try!! Very nice and Personal enviroment!
