Horrible service, I brought my 6 month old puppy in for a physical and they couldn’t complete it because he was too scared. None of my health concerns were addressed and they tried to upsell me essential oils. If any vet is trying to change you for essential oils, please find a new vet. They are also very expensive for no good reason. Please look elsewhere for a vet that actually cares about your pet instead of $$$.

My dogs have seen both vets at this clinic and I thought both of them were competent and caring. In February the vet told me that for flea, tick and heartworm I could drop in to pick up the medicine in spring. When I tried that, the receptionist insisted on an appointment to weigh the dogs. They are shi-tzus and their weight had not changed, but I figure, fine, and brought the dogs in. The same receptionist kept me waiting almost an hour. She wanted $60 each for bloodwork which she hadn't mentioned before. Made me look at gross pictures of parasites and sign a waiver, then charged me $435 for 2 sets for the season. I paid and left, but the waiver bothered me so I checked. Bloodwork is recommended, but the medicine costs $69 for the season. Times 2 that's $140. Took the medicine back and got a refund. Now I need a new vet.

Dr. Korol is truly the greatest vet anyone can hope for. I have been bringing my dog to Westway Animal clinic for some time now. Each time I come in, the team at Westway has provided me with amazing service. It is very clear that the vets and staff at the clinic really care about their clients. They never rush you during appointments, they answer any and all questions or concerns patiently and thoroughly and they approach your pet as if it is their own. The team has even stayed extra hours to help my dog through an emergency situation. My dog loves the staff at Westway and I am so grateful to know that I have this amazing team to support my dog.

Dr. Korol and his team at Westway Animal Clinic are truly remarkable. My 13 year old dog, Charlie, has been Dr. Korol’s patient since he was an 8 week old puppy. Recently, my dog suffered from a sudden herniated spinal disc that left him paralyzed from the neck down. Dr. Korol immediately responded to help my family through this very difficult situation. He compassionately listened to all of our questions and concerns regarding all the possible treatments and procedures, quickly connected us to a specialist surgeon and clearly explained everything we needed to know to make the right decisions during this very stressful time. Following my dog’s surgery, Dr. Korol and his team at Westway provided unparalleled care to my dog through his 12 week recovery and I am so happy to say that my dog is now walking. I have tremendous gratitude for Dr. Korol, Dr. Chen and the entire Westway team’s thorough and compassionate approach to my dog’s difficult situation.

Dr korol was superb in helping us cope with the last year of our dog's life. He didn't push for expensive procedures, even when we asked and were ready to pay. He gently guided us to the understanding that it was time to let our little guy go. He is a knowledgable, understanding vet and a very kind man.

Westway Animal Clinic was my first experience bringing an animal to a clinic and I did not know what to expect. Dr. Korol was really great. He talked me through every symptom and every procedure that needed to be done and explained everything in the terms that I understood.
A few months later both of my cats had teeth extractions. Doctor Korol and his team were with us all through this difficult experience. I have received multiple updates during procedures and photos of my pets recovering. For the next week, if I did not call the clinic in the morning, I got calls from Westway's staff asking about how my pets were doing. Doctor Korol and the team were very helpful, caring and understanding, providing advice and adjusting medications based on my cats' behaviour.
Although Westway Animal Clinic is 30 minutes drive away from my home, it is definitely worth it! As their logo says At Westway pets are part of the family and this is exactly how I felt.

I've been to many clinics and this is the one I keep coming back to. The staff here are genuine in their treatment of patients and do their utmost best to give them the care they need. The facilities are always clean and tidy (you don't see that at many clinics!). For punctuality, I did not give them a 5 but a 4. They may not be spot on time for appointments but what GOOD clinic is? The staff always spends a good amount of time examining my pet, presenting a treatment and answering my questions. If they are doing that with my pet and I, I'm sure they do the same with everyone else. As for monetary value, they deliver quality treatment. Overall, I am thankful to everyone and their service to my pet at this clinic, from the moment I walk in the door to the moment I leave.

Well.... I am surprised to see the low rating for this clinic... We travel there with my cat 60km one way when she needs a vet's help, I think it talks for itself. Dr. Korol is definitely very knowledgeable, but not less important - he REALLY loves dogs and cats, really cares about helping them and this is obviously more important for him than making money! When we discussed the tests for the cat I was ready to go for biopsy, but he said we should wait as biopsy is a big stress for the cat and should be avoided if possible... And eventually we did not have to do it! VET who says "no" to the test when the client is prepared to pay for it - do you see this often in Ontario?! If so - good for you....

Have taken all my pets (dogs/cats) to Dr.Korol. He is wonderful - very knowledgeable and up to date with the latest in treatments/veterinary news. He doesn't give up on your pet when they are sick and old, giving them the best possible care until the very end. When my dog was very sick in her old age, he always fit her in for emergency appointments and stayed late with us consoling us when she finally passed. Compassionate and a good heart for both pets and humans

A friend of mine recommended this clinic and I haven't had any regrets. Dr. Korol and his staff have immensely eased my mind every time I bring my dog for an appointment visit when I was worried about his health. Dr. Korol is extremely caring and conscientious about the needs of pets. My dog had been treated at another clinic and unfortunately was still in pain, Dr. Korol immediately recommended and prescribed pain management and my dog was back to his energetic and happy self! The staff are professional and the facility is immaculate. I highly recommend the Westway Animal Clinic, furthermore they offer a variety of services that put my mind at ease.

I am a relatively new client at this clinic, but have been a lifelong pet owner & have had many experiences over the years both extremely positive & sadly, extremely negative. I wish I had found this clinic years ago!! The staff are incredible, without exception & my dog actually gets excited to visit the vet now!! They are certainly not the cheapest clinic around, but they are also not the priciest & yet I really believe that my boys gets the best possible care which is the most important thing to me. I am confident that my pets are receiving the best, most compassionate care & I never feel like I am being "nickel & dimed" as I have at most other clinics I've been to. Kudos to Dr.Korol & his staff for the great work they do. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who wants honest, compassionate care for their furry family members. Thanks Westway!

I read the other reviews on this site and I'm very shocked. In regards to monetary value, it is a little pricier than others but you get what you pay for. I've had nothing but great service from Dr. Korol and his staff. Yes, Dr. Korol speaks in medical terms but he's never made me feel stupid for asking him what those terms mean. I'm always greeted with enthusiasm and genuine love, moreso towards my dog than me. They are totally understanding when I cannot afford to pay for certain medicines or procedures and I never feel pressured. At times they don't even charge me for certain testing and procedures that are required for my puppy. Money Grab? I think not. My puppy is 7 months old now and has had nothing but caring and the best service. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I'm shocked that Westway Animal Clinic doesn't have a higher rating.

I would not recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone. Its just a money grab. Always wanting to do procedures that are not necessary, and if you decline they make you feel guilty and that you don't care about your animals well being. That said ......just find another veterinary clinic...our animals deserve better.

Went to this clinic in the past with my pet. They are never ontime for appointments. Dr. Korol needs to learn to speak in non veterinarian terms when discussing your pets health. Always pushing other procedures (teeth cleaning) Diagnosis on some occasions was not accurate. I dont think they have pet health on their minds, mores so how much can we get from these people? Was not a happy client!!!!

While waiting in their waiting room with our two dogs for a consult for teeth cleaning with the Dr., one of my dogs got bit, (to the point that she needed stitches) by another dog at their clinic. The office manager and the doctor did not take any responsibility for this incident, claiming it was not their fault and got extremely defensive instead of offering comfort. They eventually agreed to stitch up my bleeding dog but would not consider discounting the teeth cleaning in any way and were in fact extremely rude to us while we were already upset at the suffering of our dog. They seemed to care more about the money than our dog, and instead accused us of being cheap because we dared asked for a discount. After this incident, we will never, ever go back to this clinic with our 2 dogs, even though they are 2 minutes away from our house and would not recommend this rude, place to anyone else.

Very professional clinic. The staff is knowledgable and both the vets are friendly and really help you understand the procedures and what they do with your pet. They are so thoughtful and caring, and I knew that my dog was in great hands. I am so pleased with this service, and everything is reasonably priced. I definitely recommend this clinic as I wholeheartedly trust the staff and doctors with my dog. The facility is clean and well kept, and their punctuality is to the T.

The staff are competent, thorough (to an extreme sometimes) and professional. Unfortunately Westway charges the absolute top dollar for examinations, services and prescriptions. In my view this taints the practice and limits options for less well off owners and their pets. The upside is that the waiting room is a lot quieter these days.

Dr. Korol is great and knowledgeable, however, his staff is very unprofessional and slow. If you want to wait for your dog for half an hour while the receptionist is chatting on the phone, and too busy to attend to you - go there. In the meantime, while you wait, you can enjoy your dog crying because he just heard you and is scarred mindless because all procedures take at least 3 times as long as they would anywhere else. Horrible experience for the pet and owner, I will never submit my dog to that again.

Great animal clinic. I would never think of going anywhere else. Staff is exceptional - everyone is warm and friendly to both me and my pet. All treatment is explained fully and prices are very reasonable. Fantastic service.

One of the rare animal clinics where excellent doctors work closely with four-legged patients and their parents towards animal's health and favor, explain every point very clearly, give you a choice, and they do not try to increase the financial holes in your pockets.... We are very grateful to find this clinic and get the top care for our dog: excellent doctors, friendly and knowledgeable staff, top notch facilities, great care.
