It is almost 3 years since Dr. Marsales euthanized our dog. He was an amazing vet during the years he treated out pet and his concern was always for our dog, not money. I wish I could say the same about our first vet. At this time of year we think of the Doctor, his kindness and the gentle way he helped our dog end his life. We give thinks to the Doctor.

I found Dr Peter Marsales while looking for emergency services for a pet rooster. I called a number of hospitals and clinics and couldn’t find a vet who would treat a chicken. Dr Marsales agreed to treat the chicken, was available for consultation and treated his patient with kindest and a gentleness not seen in many clinics. After this initial visit I took my cat to have a eyelid growth removed. Another vet refused to remove the growth even though the vet had scheduled dental surgery for this cat. I received a call from Stonegate Veterinary Hospital at 10:00 am immediately post surgery announcing all went well. The sutures were artfully placed and his eye looked amazing. Dr. Marsales is now my vet for all my animals. His experience, surgical skills, knowledge and warmth are unprecedented.

Dr. Marsales has treated two of my dogs. He is an excellent vet and he really knows his stuff. He genuinely cares for animals and has always been able to quickly diagnose a problem and treat it properly. I am grateful to him for the care he has provided to both my dogs. He has always treated me with respect.

Stone gates is the best.My dog broke out in a rash and started getting grape size bumps on her back.I was panicking so I called stone Gates after hours about 6.00 pm and was pleasntly surprised to get an answer.Doctor marsales answered and calmed me down and told me to come in amedietly. Gave me a FREE remedy that had her back to normal in a day.I am so happy with the Doctor.I will only go to stone Gates

I am absolutely thrilled with Dr. Marsales and all the wonderful staff at Stonegates :) my previous vet was not at all knowledgeable about either of the breeds of my dogs. Dr. Marsales is not only knowledgeable, but extremely friendly and excellent with my dogs! Both of my dogs hated going to the previous vet but LOVE seeing all the staff at Stonegates. The care and knowledge they have imparted has been invaluable. A great big THANK YOU to a fantastic vet and the wonderful staff :)

Dr. Marsales and the staff at Stonegates are simply the best. The focus at this clinic is always pet health and welfare. Dr. Marsales is knowledgeable, honest and kind. When I first came to Stonegates it was with my dog who was very sick due to a congenital heart defect. My former veterinarian's had been giving me the run around and expensive bills for ineffective medications. Right away Dr. Marsales did some simple tests and got him on the right medication for his illness. Stonegates did more in one day than my previous vet had done literally in three months. It was a relief to trust my pet's care to a knowledgeable, caring vet. Dr. Marsales charges a very reasonable rate for all the clinic's services, and everyone there genuinely cares about the animals they treat. I cannot recommend them highly enough for reasonable, heart-felt pet care and I would never go anywhere else now. I look forward to bringing my pets here for many years to come. Easily the best vet in the Hamilton area.

Absolutely BEST VET EVER! Dr. Peter Marsales was recommended to me by my brother as a vet will do the right thing for your pet, as opposed to the most profitable. I called his office before hours with my very sick dog in my arms, & was surprised he answered his own phone. Without checking his appt's he told me to bring her down immediately. She was in real trouble and I was sure I would lose her. She is a diabetic & was suffering badly. He gently did some tests with Melanie's help, while at the same time kept me calm with some small talk. He took her in and worked tirelessly to save her. He called specialists & even tried a few new treatments. He had her for 5 days & as he works out of his home I knew he was never far. He called me every day & kept me informed, while patiently answering all my questions. To make a long story short I am writing this review with my best friend curled up next to me, playfully scratching her ear.

I have never been so displeased with a veterinary clinic in my life! What's with all of these rave reviews? First of all, they misdiagnosed my dog which amounted to over 500 dollars worth of unnecessary tests. Instead of the regular vet, they assigned my dog with someone who clearly did not know what he was doing as he could not answer the most basic questions I had for him. To top it all off, I had to call them repeatedly to find out the results of these bogus tests. After suspecting of their incompetence, I went to Lynden Animal Hospital instead and they immediately found the problem with my dog. They have said that this life-threatening issue should have been detected earlier by Stonegate's lab tests. Way to go Stonegate. You almost killed my dog with your incompetence. I will never recommend your location to anyone.

We have been going to Stonegates for 6 and half years. Peter is an excellent veterinarian. He is a truly dedicated vet. His staff is excellent. I cannot say enough nice things about Stonegates.

We have a very timid rescue house cat that was losing her hair. She never goes outside our home, and would not leave the house even if we left the door open, so bringing her to the vet is we thought would be very scary for her. Last time she was there she was de-clawed. This was the 1st time at Stonegate and we were very pleased with our overall experience. The doctor was very thorough and the billing was very reasonable. They even suggested that maybe we connect with another doctor who does house calls to reduce our cat's anxiety. Funny enough her heart rate was very low (156) whereby they said most cats heart rate is 200... so our cat definetley felt reasonably relaxed, even when she was given her shots.. she didn't move or make a sound. I would recommend this clinic for sure. They are really kind, and very qualified.

Best Vet...EVER...Kind and compassionate. A caring Vet who seems to actually Love animals and is not just in it for the cash. My cat and dog do not even budge when they get their shots. I'd recommend him in a Heartbeat. When my last dog passed the Doc came out and gave me a very helpful book on dealing with the death of your pet. As I said...a Caring Vet who understands what a pet really means to us all.

We have taken our dogs to Dr.Marsales for almost 20 years. He is great with animals and is very caring. The staff is friendly and I love to drive out to his beautiful clinic in the country! We will always take our animals to Stonegates!

Peter is a great vet at great rates. Has a really good demeanor with animals and does not promote unecessary treatments for the animals.

As an owner of 3 dogs and 5 cats, I need a great vet and great value. Dr. Marsales and his staff are simply the best! I would not even consider another veterinarian. His insights are always good, he never pressures you for time, and is a true "country veterinarian" of the highest order.Bruce Hauser

You will never find a more knowlegeable, compassionate and caring veterinarian and staff anywhere. Dr. Marsales is a truely caring person who seems to have an affinity with animals. No matter what time or day we called for an emergency, he was available. We also found his prices either better or comparable to anywhere others took their pets.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Peter Marsales through a breeder, where my puppy came from. I have to say that I was very impressed with Dr. Marsales demeanor and knowledge as well as his humility. If there is something that he is not sure of, he does his research and then will share what he found. He is also great with the animals and is not always pushing the vaccinations that are not necessarily needed. His prices are also VERY reasonable and are less than the average vet in this area. I am also really impressed that he has returned calls even on a Sunday!! Great job Dr. Marsales, you definitely have a new client!
