Click to report rating    1/7/22   5     5     4     5   Dr Madill euthanized our beloved Abby last summer after 10 weeks of treatment and gradual decline from heart failure. He could not have been kinder to her or to us. We will never forget how lovingly he tucked a blanket around her as she lay on the table. He is a wonderful compassionate man RID: 70205
Click to report rating    1/26/20   3     5     5     1   Took pooch for exam and tissue sample ($168 ouch), had to return b/c they didn't take enough. Results promised for Mon., arrived Wed. I was declared personna non grata b/c I pointed out that my time has value and my dog had to endure two bouts of stress. I suggested $100 for my time and miles but office mgr. never called. I was assertive but not obnoxious. Great way to save $100. It'a gone corporate not caring. RID: 69002
Click to report rating    5/16/18   1     1     1     1   My pet was declared "normal" upon an insufficient and improper examination performed by this facility's vet Dr. Jebbink. I asked for an x-ray to be done and instead she told us that its just a sprain and it will go away in a few days. Well, in a few days the disease progressed and we found out that our cat has 1st Grade Osteosarcoma in his scapula/left forelimb. He unfortunately has to get an amputation because of this. Had she done her job in a better way, things would have laid out differently. Dr. Jebbink is an incompetent, unprofessional and unskillful vet and one should abstain from taking their pet(s) to her.  1/3/18   4     5     5     5   Front staff is sometimes a hit sometimes a miss. It would be nicer to have only friendly people working customer service. Dr. Madill is the number one reason we keep going back. He is great with both our cats. He is intelligent and compassionate. He knows what he's doing. He is the one that calls personally to discuss any important concerns. The facility is clean and organized. We've never over waited. The price isn't the cheapest in the city, but why would you want to go to that place? I don't want to skimp when it's the health and safety of my pets. RID: 65301
8/11/17   1     1     1     1   HORRIBLE customer experience, especially with the manager. Kellie does not know professionalism, or how to communicate effectively. She had no empathy for our dog. They gave us "optional" treatment options mins before surgery that was not discussed or quoted prior. Did procedures to our dog without our consent, told us they have the right to perform anything on our dog. The procedure was not emergent, nor a need (it was for prevention), charged us for it. We paid over what was initially quoted and the tooth that was supposed to be removed (back molar) wasn't at all and instead 2 front teeth were removed. Our dog came back to us with nails trimmed too short and bleeding, they told us it was complimentary and no one else complains so that's why it's ok. The vet's are very nice, but overall business practices and mistreatment from manager Kellie not worth it! RID: 64404
Click to report rating    6/13/17   1     1     4     1   Dr. Strauss is so far the worst dr I know in the city. He told me that my cat has a kidney failure and I believed him but after some time I got suspicious and I showed the tests results to 3 different vets and they all said my cat was totally ok and healthy. Al Dr. strauss did was draining me from money and that is all he cares about. RID: 63906
Click to report rating    3/22/17   1     4     2     1   Horribly overpriced. Quoted me $750 for my dog's teeth cleaning. Went to another, well respected vet who charged me $300. My dog's straightforward urinary tract infection was 4 visits and $1,500. Everything is the most expensive in town. Even dog food is 15% more than anywhere else. Also, as many have reported here, the front desk staff are so rude it's laughable. The vets are generally very good. We've paid their premium rates gecause we love Dr. Madill, but he's so busy, or away so often, that he hasn't actually seen our dog in over 5 years. So we've switched vets and are now getting treated with respect, our dog is getting excellent care, and we're saving a fortune in vet fees. RID: 63113
Click to report rating    4/5/16   5     5     5     4   We love Dr Madill. He really cares about our pets. Drive across town to see him since we have moved :) RID: 60231
Click to report rating    11/20/13   5     5     5     5   I have been taking pets to Dr. Madill for many years. He is kind and caring, and always goes the extra mile...even encouraged me to phone him at home for advice about my diabetic dog! The front desk staff has come and gone over the years, but overall they are very good at their jobs. Maybe they are a wee bit pricier, but I learned by taking my cats for surgery at another clinic that you get what you pay for! I've recommended them to friends for years, and will continue to do so. RID: 48353
Click to report rating    10/23/13   5     5     5     5   Absolutely love everyone at this clinic. We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Madill for as long as I can remember, no one is more caring, thorough and compassionate. I have and will continue to recommend Corydon Animal to anyone! The front desk staff are always really friendly and helpful and are always excited to see my dog. RID: 47814

7/19/13   1     3     2     1   Never again. My family and I have been going here for years with different pets. The front desk staff was horrendously rude. I'm sorry I interrupted your gossip session when I wanted to pick up my pet. I appreciated the eye rolling, and the sighs. The vet missed a problem with my pet as well that was concerning and caused my pet a lot of discomfort and pain. I'm thrilled that I will have to still pay them even more money to transfer my file to another vet. RID: 45700
Click to report rating    5/4/12   5     5     5     5   I love this clinic so much. Dr. Davidson is amazing, as are the other vets. I have a rabbit that I've brought there numerous times, including for neutering, and they are very caring and easy to deal with. One of my rabbits attacked the other and left a pretty significant bite mark, and I called in for advice. The vet came on the phone to talk with me about it, and also did a follow up call a few days later to see how the one bun was going. Very good clinic/doctors. Again, Dr. Davidson is wonderful. Highly recommend. RID: 33998
Click to report rating    11/8/11   5     5     4     4   Vets seem caring, knowlegible. accommodating and sensitive. RID: 28927
Click to report rating    7/12/11   2     2     4     3   Clinic staff sometimes rather abrupt but Dr. Davidson is the most kind, caring, and competent vet you could ever have. He is a treasure to the profession, I have been seeing him for over 10 years and I trust him with my dogs completely. When I first saw him, he was able to diagnose a chronic problem that two other vets had missed! RID: 26147
Click to report rating    6/3/11   5     4     5     5   Very happy with the overall care my cat received at Corydon Animal Hospital. RID: 25391
Click to report rating    5/5/11   2     4     4     1   Outrageous pricing, charged me $150 for Aspiration and in house Cytology for 2 lumps on my dog. I phoned around and similar treatment in another Clinic was $38…they just lost a 10 year client. RID: 24817
Click to report rating    2/26/11   5     4     4     5   I have been to this clinic for years. Recently I went to another clinic for my dog's spay because they had a coupon. Bad idea! Dr. Val knows my pets, has been upfront and honest. The entire staff were very compasionate when I lost my old dog last year, they tried everything to keep her going. I always deal directly with the vet when I go, and it is the vet that calls me to discuss my animal's health, not a tech. RID: 23176
Click to report rating    3/4/10   1     3     1     1   Overpriced, Staff not very friendly, my dog and i showed up for an annual check up and an emergency came in, had to wait a half an hour before we could see the vet, and we had an apt. Gave me the wrong heartworm medication - gave me pills for a dog 10 lbs and under - i have a golden retriever cross that is almost sixty pounds! Call them and gave them an earfull that if i hadn't have noticed the pills were the wrong doseage (they gave 2.3 and i needed 23 mg tabs) they could have killed my dog - I told them i wanted to transfer my file to another vet and they wanted to charge me $25.00 - after yelling at them some more i got them to waive the charge. RID: 16893
Click to report rating    8/30/08   3     5     5     5   The reception staff are not always helpful or cheerful and sometimes can be seen gossiping rather than working. However, the veterinary care is the best in the city. I have taken my pet to both Dr. Davidson and Dr. Strauss and recommend them both. RID: 9816
