Vets personal health & facilities aging, can't recall pet or diagnostic recommendations or advice given from appt to appt & doesn't book past 4wks, needs to update computers, records, add supplemental vet staff. 50-60 appts daily= Hour & half waits for appointments in tiny 9 seat office, bad blind dbl door exit/entry, cars backed up onto both sides of the street & parking lot. Vet over confident in surgical performance & diagnostic skills- every pet seen in last year suffered from bad advice, inadequate treatment & detrimental health results, prolonged undertreatment, lack of specialist referrals, and death. Do not recommend for long term care in serious conditions. Wrong meds issued several times. Prices seem competitive but add up quickly, will nickle & dime you & string out repeat visits as long as possible, charging excessive fees, ie phone consultation fees when you're doing the leg work, specialist facility must send a request for the information! You emergency is not theirs!

Highly recommend. Staff is friendly. The vet puts pets first, prices are affordable. I am from Ontario.

Staff has always been very helpful and friendly to us. Our dog has lived a much longer life because of everyone at Bridgeport.

This vet office has very good staff, helpful and friendly. My cat was well taken care of when she had some teeth removed and her remaining teeth and gums treated, and for a super reasonable price.

Took my pet poodle to this clinic several times over past few years... 2 times for teeth cleaning and a couple of extractions... clinic staff were very helpful... Doctor was excellent with dog... quick recovery for pet and a follow up call from clinic to Ottawa next day to see how my pet was doing... more than satisfied and save considerably from price quoted by local vet clinics... need I say more.

I am a Canadian and I will be honest I went to Bridgeport for the low cost vaccines and spaying. When I entered the building I realized why they are less expensive!! The waiting room was crowded and smelled of urine. The receptionist was rude and and kept referring to my female cat as "it". The vet spent less than 5 minutes in the room with me and told me he didn't have time to answer my questions and to ask the assistant. My cat was scheduled to be spayed that afternoon and when she came home she was so drugged she could barely walk, her belly was covered with glue (that is how they close the incision!!! they won't invest in proper sutures!!) and her incision got infected. When I called to get her rechecked as her incision was painful, opening up and pus was oozing out the receptionist told us we would have to wait a week for an appointment!! Never again will I jeopardize my pet's life to save a few bucks!

I can't sing enough praises for Dr Cruikshank and his staff! Most pleasant, capable, accommodating and gracious and the care was above and beyond what I'd expected having paid far more for the same treatments [spay/neuter of 5 cats]elsewhere in the past. Highly Recommend!
