Click to report rating    7/17/13   2     2     1     1   We have had 2 unfortunate experiences with the Banfield @ Hebron/Dallas Tollway. Initially, we were told the cost of the visit would be about $85. During our kitten's visit, we waited in the exam room for over an hour, despite having an appointment. I know they have an emergency policy, and I respect that, but we didn't see anyone... no vet, no technician, no desk staff, no one came in to tell us what was going on! We saw an actual vet for less than 2 minutes during that visit, and it cost $140. So 3 weeks later, we had to return for boosters, and we got to see an actual vet within about 30 minutes of our appointment time. When giving the vaccinations, however, she put the needle through the kitten's skin and out the other side, so it squirted all over him. Then they tried to sell us their insurance plan?? Don't get roped into an annual commitment to poor vet services. Take your pets to a kind, intelligent local vet, not a chain! RID: 45650

Click to report rating    1/22/11   1     2     1     1   They utilize the emotional attachment we have to our pets to get more money. they are money hungry and money driven. If you need anything special, they treat you like you are being an irritant vs. trying to take care of your beloved pet. IT's stressful enough without attitutde. But even so, I watched one of hte assistants try to tell a dog owner they would need a procdure that I knew for a fact they didn't, becuase he recomended it to every person that came up to him with a sick dog. It is quite sickening and the word needs to get out about this place. For my kitty, I needed a prescription for antibiotics and was going to come by and pick it up. They had seen her 2 months earlier with the same problem. they wouldnt prescribe them unless I brought her in (which of course meant an extra charge for the office visit. And all they do when I bring her in is ask me what's wrong and them prescribe the medicine. Take your business elsewhere! RID: 22289
Click to report rating    12/6/07   1     4     1     1   Don't get their 'insurance'.... because it's not insurance. My dog is gone and they tell me I must continue to pay for thenext 10 months until renewal time again! It renewed automatically, but I wasn't told that would happen. Additionally, on my last visit, even though I made an appointment, I was kept waiting over an hour, with a sick dog, and then the vet left to go pick up an employee who had missed her bus... I left without ever seeing the vet...went to another one down the street. RID: 6608
