Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness
This Animal Hospital was recommended over the Downtown Animal hospital. What a huge mistake. From day one the staff treated Enzo (my puppy) and myself like a inconvenience, in other words we're too busy and don't need anymore patients. I overlooked receptionist frown and ignored her dismissive demeanour. Enzo has a rash on his lower abdominal area that is spreading up his chest. I brought him with me to show the staff just how bad it was. They told me in tone lacking zero empathy that two weeks is the earliest they could see Enzo. The Emergency Vet in Yorkville won't treat him because his not dead yet Re: doesn't meet the triage criteria. I booked the appointment with Wellesley and prayed he would be ok. I work full time 9-5 on Fridays (the day of the appointment) I could not get the day off only take a half day. I was running late to the appointment so I texted them -no reply. I called and spoke to t

For the last two years have been getting pricier and pricier. Not a true "animal hospital"; they send you to another clinic for anything really pressing. They turn away longtime clients when they are in their greatest need. They seem to think all pet owners are rich. Well, we're not. We had been clients for over a decade and got pushed off onto another clinic for the second time. So we're calling it quits with this veterinary facility.

I have been going to WAH for almost 4 years. Recently, it has changed. The doctors recommend unnecessary procedures and dietary changes for money alone. Upon a recent visit, Dr. Pilar told us that our dog had a cracked tooth and possibly cancer due to test result, so we absolutely needed surgery ASAP. Upon speaking with hospital staff after the procedure, my dog had neither a cracked tooth or cancer. In fact, it was apparent to everyone except Dr. Pilar that the growth was a normal fatty deposit that didn't require a $1500 surgery. Additionally, other vets have now told me that it's dangerous to perform dental surgery at the same time as other surgeries because of the increased chance of infections. We have now changed vets, and I urge pet owners to please save your pet from the trauma of unnecessary procedures designed to bleed you dry with emotional games – GO ELSEWHERE.

I rushed my dog there after she collapsed in she got immediate emergency attention from 5-6 staff. They tried everything and I was able to witness and answer Q's (rather than being shooed out to the lobby). Very professional, incredible effort. You may be even more surprised by my review as my "Elsie" Jack Russell Terrier did not make it. She was 12+ years and was very sick for 3 days prior. They were also kind with the invoice too. Thank you so much Dr. Maria Villanueva and team for trying so hard!

I have a northern dog and really like how friendly and professional the staff/vet were with us. They really care about your dog, listen to you and don't rush. It is a very small clinic so they know who you and your dog are. I didn't find it any more expensive than other downtown clinics and in fact, I thought the price was fair given the excellent service. Strongly recommended!!

Dr. Ma is thorough and caring. Our cat seems to like her--as much as a cat will ever like a vet! Our cat is a senior cat we adopted last year and Dr. Ma has taken the extra time to make sure she is healthy and stays that way. The front desk staff and vet techs are also fantastic. We get regular updates and pet tips through the Facebook group and emails/questions are answered promptly.

I have been taking my cats to WAH all of their lives for both routine and emergency care. The level of service at WAH is simply superb. Dr. Ma and her wonderful staff truly care about the health of your pets and go far out of their way to make sure that your pet receives the best possible care. WAH is not cheap, but the level of service they provide more than makes up for it. Also, their prices are on par for all of the clinics in the area - vets in downtown Toronto are expensive. After treatment, without fail I have received a follow up call from WAH to make sure our little kitty is recovering well. Anytime I have a question, I know I can walk into the clinic and get a response. If the staff out front doesn't know the answer, the vet or veterinary tech will call back pronto with a response. I simply cannot speak highly enough about this clinic and all of their staff. They are extremely professional and courteous. If only they accepted human patients...

I've been bringing my dog here regularly for almost two years now. Services we have received include vaccines, regular checkup, urinary infection, grooming/bathing, tumor examination etc. Personally, I think this small cozy clinic is all we need for my dog (who is extremely shy and timid due to previous abuse before she was adopted )-but for some reason she gets very excited when we go there. I trust this clinic because I believe my dog's reaction never lies. Dr. Ma is absolutely helpful and patient. We always got our appointments on time and received followup emails and calls. The clinic is extremely great at personalizing a pet's healthy history and keeping track of it. I get updated regularly for my dog's vaccines, medication , and even a birthday card mailed !! They never try to sell you things that you don't need. The staff is lovely and the clinic is very clean and tidy. It's also very convenient considering it's literally right beside the subway.

The staff and doctor here at this clinic is truly one of the best in Toronto. They honestly care about your animal and gives you many options should you require them. Very friendly, clean and punctual. I have family members that live in different parts of the city all coming to see Dr. Ma just because she really is that good... Thanks for the great service!! It's good to know there is a vet out there that I can truly trust... keep up the great work and Good to see you again Dexter! (he's the coolest greeter I've ever met!)

Excellent doctors and staff! My cat had checkup, blood test. They sent me the result in 24hr by phone call and email. Dr. Ma was spending lots time to exam my cat and so kind! Later my cat had to have dental surgery which I was very amazed their care and follow up. As soon as doctor finished surgery, they called me to let me know my cat was fine. Then email me all the details and info about surgery and after care. I really do recommend this vet. They are just amazing!!!
