I took my three year dog to this hospital because it was having sensitivity on her back. After dianosing her with possible stomach digestive they put her on a IV and pain medication. They kept her overnight and the next mornibg they called me and said that she had lost feelings in her rear legs and tail. They now determined that she had a spinal injury. I rushed her to Life Centre {Bush Neurology Service} They imediately diagnosed a spinal injury and performed a MRI. They did surgery and hopefully she will be OK. They indicated that the time lost {24 Hrs} that was wasted at Friendship hospital lessened her chance of recovery. The friendship intern had made a mis-diagnosis. I had asked her if she had any Board Certified doctors that she could confer with. She told me that they were usally on the Golf course and no she didn't call them. I have to say that with them it is all about money. Never trust them with your pet.

I brought my dog to Friendship Saturday afternoon because she was exhibiting behavior & symptoms that were alarming to me. This is after I took her to her normal vet who diagnosed her with constipation. The vet (intern)at Friendship, didn't offer any diagnostic tests or anything. She simply pushed on my dog's back & said it was all related to degenerative disc problem. I left there the 1st time feeling like I must have over reacted. That night at 1 am my dog had a seizure & stopped breathing. I don't know by what miracle but after a few moments she was breathing again, very disoriented, & off balance but breathing. Took her back to Friendship, very upset & pissed. This time they offered to monitor her, but wanted to charge me another emergency visit fee! Unbelievable! I refused & intern got an attitude with me. Next day go pick up dog, paid balance, & no one went to get my dog. 2 hours later the girl behind the desk acted clueless. Totally incompentant over there. All bout $$$$!

At Friendship, you must deal with untrained, unsupervised high school students. The the vets rarely appear, do not like to communicate with pet owners and don't bother to follow-through on commitments. Like analyzing tests or providing coherent diagnoses. These veterinarians are among the most venal people on the planet. If you don't leave your animal with them -- which costs about $1000 per day -- true -- they won't treat it.

Our little, but healthy four year dog died at Friendship hospital as a result of complications from a fracture paw. We are disapointed and extremely disheartened as we feel if we had taken her elsewhere she would still be alive.
We brought her in 4 times during the weekend, 48 hours, each time she was worse, and when we left her the final time we thought she would be monitored, treated, and we would be taking her home in the morning. We were wrong and have found out her condition was not take seriously and the warning signs of impending distress and death were ignored. We will never take another pet there again
