Click to report rating    4/18/23   1     1     1     1   My experience with Vets in Woodbridge has been horrible since 2015. I would not use Vets in the Woodbridge area at all. Dealing dogs health takes a lot of experience. It has been a terrible experience for us. Ridge Lake Animal hospital was the absolute worse of them all. It's a place not friendly or caring for dogs and very focused on monetizing the experience--if you are late stuck in traffic-- you get charged a late fee and a no-show fee and its was described to me as an offense that is counted and it goes up with frequency. Thats a very punitive way to treat patients. I had been using them for Vet care for my Labrador during covid as River Oaks (my regular Vet) NEVER had any emergency appointments to help my dog. I have never heard of any Vet office not having any appointments for emergency dogs, but that be as it may--I began taking my Lab to Ridge Lake during Covid (2020) and then for a for a lump that popped up later in October of 2022 --after thousands of dollars of expe RID: 70651
Click to report rating    11/13/18   1     1     1     1   I highly recommend you DO NOT take your pets here. They have extremely poor internal communication between their staff which has resulted in extra unnecessary risk to my dogs health. If you love your pets DO NOT take them here. You will be treated as a source of revenue with disregard for your pets health and safety. This vet cares more about profits than the health of your pets RID: 67011
Click to report rating    5/6/14   5     5     5     5   Came in with my new puppy that I had just adopted from the shelter. My exam was free, which was nice. Also Dr. Wilson was very good with my new puppy. The staff was kind and very helpful. I think I found a great animal hospital in Woodbridge. RID: 51431

Click to report rating    7/2/12   1     1     1     1   My cat was seen at Ridge Lake on Saturday as our regular vet was closed due to a power outage. After charging us $700 for tests, pain meds, and fluids my cat was sent home with no diagnosis and no followup directions - just extra pain medicine. Later that night after showing no improvement we had to take her to an emergency vet where she later passed away. The entire bill for 12 hours of treatment at the emergency vet was less than what Ridge Lake charged us for less than 2 hours of treatment. This morning Ridge Lake called to let us know that they would still be charging us full price for all bloodwork and labs they collected on Saturday. The person I spoke with this morning was uncaring and giggled awkwardly when I told her my cat passed away yesterday. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! RID: 35360

Click to report rating    9/24/08   1     4     3     1   I thought it was just me. I took my long-haired cat in to se if he was the right weight and to talk about the number of hairballs he was having and just to get him checked and answer some questions. The vet seemed annoyed with me that the cat (indoor cat only) hadn't been seen for awhile and when I asked about grooming she didn't even know that their own clinic does lion cuts for cats. My checkup bill for um, nothing but a vial of blood was $250. She provided me with NO info on caring for a long haired cat. More interested in $$$$. I felt like she tried to make me feel guilty for not bringing the cat in for awhile. I thought gees, my cat is loved, stays safely indoors, no fleas and not abused. You want to get mad at people who abuse or don't care for their pets just read the papers, don't look at me! RID: 10084
Click to report rating    8/19/08   3     4     4     1   The staff here was professional and courteous. We were serviced promptly and the vet assistant and vet handled our cat gently. However, we went in to have our cat treated for a scratch to the eye and numerous tests and bloodwork were ordered, which amounted to a very large bill of $350.00. While the tests ordered may (or may not) have been necessary to assess the overall health of the cat, the prices charged were excessive. Years ago, this clinic was extremely kind and did not overcharge us when we had another cat who needed an emergency surgical procedure. Obviously, they are under new management now. RID: 9703
Click to report rating    12/7/07   1     1     1     1   This vet is a joke. Our dog had a very simple little ailment, and instead of treating the disease...our Vet just treated the symptoms. As in "ok, that'll cost you $250 for this visit. Come back in a few days so that I can charge you that all over again...and NOT give you a diagnosis". This happened three times ($750), before we realize that the vet was just trying to milk us for all we were worth and didn't care at all about the welfare of our dog. It turned out that our dog only had WORMS, and the vet couldn’t figure that out. He even wanted to give our dog 'Cat scans' and ultrasounds for symptoms our dog was not expressing! Complete scum bags....stay away at all costs. RID: 6620
