I recently adopted a Collie & heard good things about this Vet. I took her in for her first visit, the Vet was fine, however the procedures were not what I expected. She need 2 shots and blood drawn for a heartworm test. My dog was taken from me in the exam room & two tec's administered the shot and blood test. My dog cried like I have never ever heard her cry before. When I opened the door one assistant was standing over her back holding her and the other was trying to draw the blood out of her paw. The assistant told me it was best if she did not see me, so I closed the door. After the crying stopped the brought her back to me. I questioned their procedures of removing the dog from the exam room & not allowing the owner to hold and comfort her during the experience. They told me it was their method and their insurance did not allow for the owner to be present. This was my first experience and I can assure you it will be my last.
