Dr Epler has been my vet for over 33 years! He is kind, considerate and caring. He has helped me with so many of my animals. He is always ready with answers, and truly cares about every animal he treats. He has helped me and my animals through many health emergencies. The staff is also spot on! Courtney is very intelligent and is always able to help and answer questions. I highly recommend Dr. Jeff Epler and his staff. You will not find anyone better to care for your animals! He truly gives the best to all the animals he treats. The owners are also treated with respect and care. You will be happy you went to the Shelbyville Animal Clinic.

I'll be honest: Dr. Jeffrey Epler, the owner, had been my family's vet with our cat Ashes. His desire is for money, not the care of animals. He ran numerous, sensless tests on our cat when she became ill. After selling us "special" food and meds, she never got better. When we took her back to him, he said he wanted to run a few more, expensive tests. My mother said she just wanted her to be put down (due to the ridiculous bills, and our cat's suffering). That must've knocked something loose in his head because he whipped out a test that he had completed in the original string of tests, solving what her ailment was and prescribing the right meds for her, but it was too late. Dr. Jeffrey Epler's greediness had sealed her fate. Her kidney failed, and her body began to shut down at the age of 6. If you love your animal, do NOT take it to Dr. Jeffrey Epler...
