My little Ashley was diagnosed with a heart condition and Dr Hammer was recommended and has been wonderful! I have since moved over 45 minutes away but will continue to make the drive to Perry because it is hard to find a Vet you can trust and I trust him with Ashley completely. He even called me on a Saturday when the office was closed and I left a concerned message about my little dog! I was shocked and amazed at such a caring and compassionate Doctor!

I would recommend u stay away we for years brought our animals to dr hammer and were satisfied, but now he has become too busy to give a dying cat an appointment or even release her previous records because he can't find them. You are better off elsewhere

Dr. Hammer treated our cat (for GI lymphoma) while practicing at a different location from the 2005 to 2008 time period. He is simply amazing. He did all he could to save our cat and keep him comfortable. Our Pumpkin was only 6 at the time of diagnosis, but he went on to live until age 8. Dr. Hammer is kind, compassionate, respectful and professional. I have once visited his Perry office where he has the same staff members. They all get an A+ in my book and we are eternally grateful to them for all they did for our Pumpkin both while in Dr. Hammer's care and when we had Pumpkin euthanized. I cannot say enough good things. Simply the best.

In all of my years as a dog owner, I have never encounters such a caring and repectful vet. While I hope I never have to visit Dr. Hammer again, I would recommend him highly!

I have seen Dr. Hammer a couple of other times throughout the years with other dogs we've had. I saw him today with my little Yorkie who was suspected to have bladder cancer. Thankfully she does not. He performed an ultrasound on her and she is cancer free and healthy! Dr. Hammer has always been very professional. He has a wonderful, kind bedside manner and is very knowledgeable. Several years ago with another of our dogs he was so compassionate and understanding and did all he could to help her. She had an unusual type of cancer and did not survive, but I felt she got the very best of care under Dr. Hammer's guidance. He is an excellent vet.
