Click to report rating    5/17/11   1     2     5     2   Took my lab mix, Sandy, here after a dog bite hurt her leg. Dr. Pratte gave her antibiotics and Previcox for the pain. Three days later my dog started vomiting, violently. After a couple days of her not being able to keep anything, not even water down, we went back. We told him we thought it was the Previcox, but he didn't listen at all. Dr. Pratte believed it was pancreitis, and did a bunch of blood work. We showed him blood clots in her vomit, so he gave us medicine to treat a bleeding ulcer. Blood work came back fine, just a little high on kidney enzymes, so he wanted a urinalysis. So I ran up a sample of urine. Urinalysis came back fine. Sandy has slowly gotten better. I looked up Previcox online, found the dosage formula, and figured out how much Sandy should have gotten, which was no more than 134mg per day. Dr. Pratte put her on 227mg per day. He overdosed her, poisoned her, then charged me for tests to try to find some other reason to blame to cover up his mistake! RID: 25063
