I brought my cat for evaluation of her eye and teeth. Dr. Julian ignored the eye symptoms and wanted only to talk about her teeth. I booked an appt. for teeth extract but insisted he look at her eye. Without even looking, I was told that drops were good enough. After several appts and weeks of watching my cat’s eye bulge and nearly pop out of her head, I went to another vet who told me that she had cancer behind her eye and in her jaw. The vet recommended euthanasia because of the amount of pain my cat was enduring. She was euthanised 2 days later. I wrote to the first vet and never got an answer - I was no use to them now that my cat was dead...I never left an appointment without having spent $300. And had to watch my kitty in agony..

IF I CAN GIVE YOU AN ADVICE IT IS: DON'T LEAVE YOUR PET THERE!
We left our puppy there to extract a broken tooth, and one day after the procedure we discovered that they REMOVED THE WRONG TOOTH. All consultations before the extraction were made with Dr.TIM JULIAN, all the medicines we received also came under the name of Dr.TIM JULIAN. When we called him to understand what had happened, he just didn't know anything about the procedure, he said that another vet did it. He didn't know how to tell us which tooth was extracted or even how many. (She came back with stitches in two places on her mouth).
We spent more than 1300 dollars there, we asked at least for our money back. And what he told us is that the most he could do was remove the RIGHT TOOTH now for free.(We don't trust them to do it, we really prefer to pay everything again and do with another vet rather than do for free with them)
Do not trust the vets at this clinic. they are complety unprofessional, they only want your mo

BEWARE! Bait-and-switch pricing on your Pet’s estimate.
On July 20/2019 – they estimate $435.76 for my pet’s surgery.
The very next day, July 21/2019, the estimate is “updated” to $852.14. Same pet, same procedure. The only thing that changed was the price.
I am not making this up. I have saved copies of both estimates. This vet is running a complete scam!
You are better off visiting Harbourfront Animal Hospital at 370 Queens Quay West. Unlike Spadina, they are honest and have integrity.

Every time I go in there's a new vet. The owner & head vet is always off travelling & taking time off than actually attending to his clinic. I dislike that after 2 1/2 years I don't have a regular vet who knows my pets well. They are also a very high priced clinic. I now to go another hospital to get the major stuff done so that I can save some money.

I called to book the acupuncture service for my dogs laryngeal paralysis. Having cancelled my initial appointment at the last minute, I was told they couldn't see me for more than 2.5 weeks for evening/weekend slots. Both I and my partner made arrangements to work from home of a week day so our boy could try this treatment, his condition affects his breathing and we were very eager to make him more comfortable. I received another last minute cancellation on their part for our second appointment. I have never experienced such a flakey, unprofessional and inconsiderate service from a health care provider. My dog is in distress and they have done nothing but flake out on appointments and wasted time we should have spent getting him care elsewhere. I'm utterly disgusted with the standard they operate at.

I've been in here a bunch of times with my Frenchie and they're great here. The staff are always professional and friendly. They even did a nose job for my little pup and he's looking and breathing better than ever now!

Dr. Julian is the only vet I plain on taking my pets to from now on. Even though the news I got was not great I was still happy that he told me the truth. He is very kind to my cats and helps in any way he can. His staff is very friendly and upbeat, I really liked how the staff made me feel as if I was their only client. I gave a 4 for the facilities as i have not seen the hole clinic

Very friendly! I thought they would give me a hard time because I haven't brought my cat to a vet in years but everyone was cool about it. I called around and their prices were the same as the other nearby clinics and only went there because they were the closest, but I was glad I picked them. I ended up having blood testing done but I only brought enough for the shots so they printed out the price for me and let me come back the next week and didn't charge me for another visit or make me feel bad. My cat even liked them and he never likes anyone especially going to the vet, so I will be back next year. Also they gave me a cupcake, didn't hurt my review

Reception, techs and vet are all very nice and seem to care about your pet. Never had to wait. I agree with the "alarmists" comment above. Make it sound like it could be worst case for simple things and that they must be tested for everything. I understand needing diagnostics but I feel that they go over board. Pricing is very high. I compared to a vet in stoney creek and it was hundreds cheaper - worth the gas.

New to the neighbourhood. Went here because it was quite close to our condo. Saw Dr. Spencer who took us in 20 minutes BEFORE our scheduled time (fantastic!), then it went downhill from there. The other Vet (presumeably the owner) came in and proceeded to scold the staff. It was very uncomfortable for us as we could hear every word. You could feel the tension in the air. Staff members were visibly upset. Asked to use the bathroom, they do not have a client bathroom and they let my wife use the staff bathroom. Filthy conditions in the back area, smelled of cat urine, garbage bags literally piled to the ceiling and strange yellow liquid in the bathroom sink! We will not be going back.

I have nothing but AMAZING, POSITIVE things to say about this clinic. My cat, the most important thing in my world, was diagnosed with cancer. After the diagnosis Dr. Gibbon and staff were beyond supportive, attentive, and loving. Dr. Gibbon performed two surgeries, made vital referrals, and performed on going treatments which assisted in my cat living another two years of quality life. The staff were our life line and never hesitated to be there for us and never ordering unnecessary treatments. They treated my cat like it was one of their own. They were there through my cat's struggle until the last moment of her life. The are a vet clinic with a high level of knowledge, compassion, and integrity. If you want a vet clinic that knows her stuff AND you can trust, this is the place. Thank you Spadina Animal Hospital. El, Geej, and Elvis

I bring all my animals here and they love the staff! :) I had my puppy spayed along with a preventative gastropexy. She was very well looked after. I couldn't ask for better care! I also recently brought my cat in for emergency surgery. I was concerned about some of the complications. Dr. Gibbon performed the surgery and he is doing amazing! He is recovering quickly and I am so happy to have my boy back. I would highly recommend this clinic

We've been bringing our puppy here since we first got him from the humane society. He's been sick for a few days and they were able to squeeze us in today fairly early in the morning and answered all of our questions with our appt lasting almost 1hr. While I do feel they are overpriced my dog is very happy here. We also prefer kelly over gillian. Ask for kelly!

My mother is a senior citizen on a fixed income. She is also a first time cat owner. This clinic fleeced her out of $1,000 and had her believing her perfectly healthy 1 yr old cat was seriously ill. All she wanted was her cat to get spayed, but she walked out being told her cat could potentially have cancer and that it had to be treated aggressively. My mother choose this clinic because it is close to her home and she does not have a car. I ended up taking my mom and her cat to my vet who told us that for sure her cat did not have cancer and that the other vet put her kitty through too many tests. My mom's cat got spayed by my vet and it was only $150 total (initial visit with shots and then the spay). These criminals did not even give my mom's cat its shots because it apparently needed all those tests. The only plus I can think of to this clinic is that it is clean. Shame on you for taking advantage of a senior/first time pet owner!

My cat had a serious condition and the (assumed) ongoing treatment was prescribed by the receptionist/tech on my prompting as vet had gone on vacation while I was waiting on test results. There was no call to follow up, no specific instructions left for treatment and the case wasn't handed off to another vet. Seems very pricey for long waits and rushed, impersonal care. I've had long wait times even just to purchase food and have since switched vets.

The staff is friendly and the facilities are nice. However, I found the vets here to be "alarmists" and to anticipate the worst case scenario without ruling out simple illnesses. This requires "digging deeper" into your animals symptoms which, for me, involved additional testing. They are overpriced compared to other veterinarians in the area. I would recommend that you take your animal somewhere else if you would like more competence at a good price.

They gave me a prescription for my 80lb dog when he was very ill that had my 14lb dog's name and dosage on the label. The receptionist crossed out the name with a pen and handed it back to me. We had to get her to call the vet at home in order for her to admit it was the wrong dosage. Also I wouldn't recommend for large breed dogs as they seemed afraid of mine. But they are good with cats.

We visited this vet with our new puppy for a check-up and left a stool sample. We never heard back from them and thus assumed everything was fine. Three weeks later, at our second scheduled appointment, they informed us that our pup had a fecal parasite but due do a "mix-up" they never called us. She is now on medication - which they provided for free as a result of the "mix-up" - but we would NEVER trust them again. Obviously we should have followed up on the results, which we will do from now on, but this was a horrible first impression.

I was referred to this clinic by a friend who takes her dog here. I have always found the staff very happy and knowledgeable. Keri and Lindsey have been very helpful in the process of picking out new food. Keep up the good work!

Over the holidays my cat got really sick, even though they were fully booked Dr Gibbon was able to arrange for an ultrasound for Gobo that day, since then we've been able to treat his heart condition and he's back to playing like a kitten. Wasn't charged any ridiculous fees, the staff is fantastic and they really set my mind at ease. Thank you, thank you!

My vet away and I took my dog in for a simple ear infection. Drops given with instructions to use in both ears. I asked why I would put in the unaffected ear and got an uinhelpful answer. I used the drops as instructed and in 48 hrs my dog was completely deaf. I called and the first response was "it wasn't anything we did". Grudingly she agreed to re-examine the dog and told me that he was old and probably was going deaf and I hadn't noticed and his hearing just crossed the theshold into deafness. In both ears at the same time I asked. Yes the drops were just a coincidence. I discontined drops and took hom to my vet asap. He informed me that the drops given can cause hearing loss that may or may not be pwrmanent. Said it would take 6-8 wks. Gradually my dogs hearing returned. While I realize that animals can ha ve reactions to drugs, Dr Gibbon was unawre of the risk and responded in a defensive and unhelpful way when the incident occurred. I would not recommend this vet.

You were 10 minutes late for the appointment. You were probably upset that I thought you were the vet tech and the appointment went downhill from there. You got testy and frazzled. You took the pet and disappeared never to reappear. The staff took their cue from you and treated me very badly. In the end you made at least 3 mistakes in the paperwork which would not have happened if you had taken a moment to listen to me in the beginning. I was there over one hour and there was never another patient/client in the waiting room. This fact does not surprise.
