Cats had exam two weeks ago. I was told one cat needed 1 tooth extracted & 2nd cat needed dental cleaning. Quoted $225 for cleaning. Extractions are extra. Left 2 cats for dental today. Completed forms stating not to exceed $350 without calling me first. Dr’s asst phoned to say Dr pulled 7 teeth from 1st cat and bill is now $520+. She did this without calling me first. Instructed asst that Dr was not to pull any teeth on 2nd cat w/o calling me first. Dr called to say 2nd cat also needs to have 7 teeth pulled. Bill will be $700+. Told Dr “thanks, but no thanks; will take cat for 2nd opinion.” Dr then began to bully me. Implied that cat is in severe pain. I live with cat every day. I would have noticed. Dr told me my cat would stop eating and die if I took her home today without pulling teeth. Implied I don’t care about my cat’s welfare. Implied I am too cheap to spend money on my cat. Never going back.
