This is the WORST vet I've ever been to. I spent over $100 for a check up on my dog Roxy. She was experiencing uncomfort after a thunder storm, shaking, throwing up, bloated stomach. I thought it was normal but when it continued for three days I thought something might be wrong. I took her to The Riverbend Animal Clinic and the doctor told my family and I that nothing was wrong and my dog was just overweight. The doctors told me that Roxy's heart and kidneys were fine. The vet did not offer any blood tests or urine tests which we do have the money for. Today was two weeks from our vet visit. Roxy was still uncomfortable and throwing up. We took her to a different animal clinic in Rudle Horn. It turns out that my dog has a KIDNEY DISEASE. She also has a PROBLEM WITH HER LIVER. DO NOT GO TO RIVERBEND ANIMAL CLINIC. I highly recommend Dr. Doyle and have followed her around the city. She provided professional, empathetic, excellent end of life care for my beloved dog. Each time I went in they made such a fuss over my dog, and he always had such a positive experience. Dr. Doyle helped me figure out what kind of dog I would get next, and has provided excellent care for him. I look forward too many more years of developing a relationship with Dr. Doyle and her staff.

Since Dr. DeJong retired and Dr. Mackie is on leave, we have had a few bumps with this clinic, mostly pricing and on very pushy and very rude male vet who tried to pull a fast one on us, by booking an allergy test (of which he profits) without fully discussing our option first and had the nerve to schedule it without our knowledge. Michael called to remind us that we missed our appointment? We never agreed to do it in the first place? But then, we had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Doyle. WE are willing to try it again. Overall, the vet techs are amazing and Michael (at reception) are the saving grace for this location. If you want friendly service and supportive staff, this is the vet clinic that provides it. We avoid the vet, the one that has the demeanor of a "used-car salesman" at all costs, and now see Dr. Doyle. So far so good.

We have been seeing Dr. Doyle for a few years now as our vet retired. She knows her stuff very well and highly is intelligent. She is compassionate and never pushy. Her exams are always thorough. She is a very educated doctor who loves what she does and we will be sticking with her until she retires! Thank you Dr. Doyle for everything that you have done for us! By far the best vet in Calgary!!

I have only been going to this clinic for a short while and am so impressed with the service and honesty of the vets. After seeing a vet that implemented scare tactics and false promises to increase my vet bill, it's comforting to know that I can trust their opinion and that Riverbend only only recommends necessary services. They truly care about my pets health and are not simply focused on making a buck (Dr. Doyle has even seen us in follow up and provided services for free when repeated visits did not resolve my dogs symptoms). I feel beyond lucky to know I can consult with them for my vets care.

I have always been impressed with the care and attention given by everyone at the Riverbend Clinic. It is obvious that everyone genuinely cares for animals. It's good value for your dollar and comforting to know that your pets are going to be well cared for.
