Click to report rating    7/4/16   3     3     5     1   I have been to this clinic for more than 20 years. Fine for regular care but careless when your animal is very sick. My 8 year old lab was diagnosed with diabetes. Spent about $400 on tests. Said blood sugar was very high and liver enzymes were off. Prescribed anti-biopics and insulin. Didn't tell me not to give insulin if my dog was not eating. Four days later my dog is in distress. Took him to a vet near my cottage and was told he was very ill. Liver failure and almost no blood sugar. How did his tests miss this? I had to put him to sleep. I know that he would not have lived long but to put him through the distress of his last few days is unacceptable. Do not go to this vet. RID: 61015
Click to report rating    2/25/15   1     2     2     2   First off Dr holmes has zero personality.Took my 10 year old dog to them 2 years ago suspecting diabetes. After tests and $$ we were given insulin and told to inject 2x daily then basically see you later. The reason for this review is that I have had my dog checked at a new vet for another condition only to find out that we should have been monitoring his blood sugar daily should be around 8 actual read was 31.9,should have changed his diet drastically and had him re checked until we (vet) were certain it was at a manageable number. I have now spend many more $$ and am starting back at square 1. I am very grateful that my dog has not died in the last 2 years and that he will now be receiving the proper care that he should have from the start.I would not recommend Anderson Vet to anyone. Stay away..... RID: 56031

Click to report rating    7/21/12   1     3     3     2   I stopped going to this clinic years ago. Follow up was nil. He gave my cat and injection, it was suspose to be repeated in 2 weeks which I was never told. The only way I found out is when I went online to find oout more about that medication. If I didn't find this out on my own, the first injection would have been pointless and a waste of my money. RID: 35790
Click to report rating    6/6/12   1     1     1     1   JIM HOLMES IS THE ONLY VET AT THIS CLINIC AND SO FAR HAS HAD HIS LICENCE YANKED FOR TWO MONTHS AND I AM ALSO PURSUING A SMALL CLAIMS ACTION AS WELL AS A COMPLAINT TO THE COLLEGE OF VETERINARIANS OF ONTARIO. HE CAUSE THE DEATH OF A 9 MONTH OLD CHICHUAUA BY PUTTING A CAST ON TOO TIGHT CAUSING THE LEG TO DIE DUE TO NO BLOOD FLOW. HE MISDIAGNOSED MY DOG AND HE HAD TO HAVE SURGERY FOR RUPTURED CORNEAS. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY ANIMALS HERE. LOOK IN THE CVO NEWSLETTER FOR DEC 2011 FOR HIS DICIPLINARY ACTION RID: 34794
