I caution anyone that uses St. Tammany Parish Humane Society for its services. From what I have experienced the medical staff is the most unprofessional staff I've had the displeasure to meet. I did not witness compassion towards my dogs; in fact it was the complete opposite. My dogs were mishandled by the members of the medical staff; one of my dogs (5 pound dog) fell of the exam table. The medical staff members did not brother to pick up my dog and check to see if my dog was okay, they simply asked me to leave the room without completely the exam. An employee of STPHS referred to one of its own medical staff members as “inexperienced.” This is a clear indicating of the care my dog received at STPHS. St. Tammany Parish Humane Society should remove the term "humane" from its name. What I experienced and witnessed as a dog owner was not humane.
