Dr. Michelle Newfield has been treating my multiple dogs for awhile now and we all love her. All of my dogs are excited to see her and she treats them all as if they were her favorite patient. When one of my dogs was having problems with her elbow, she went out of her way to me help treat my dog and then helped me find the best orthopedic surgeon. I would recommend Dr. Michelle Newfield to anyone looking for a vet in the Covington area.

I caution anyone that uses Dr. Michelle Newfield at St. Tammany Parish Humane Society for its services. From what I have experienced the medical staff is the most unprofessional staff I've had the displeasure to meet. I did not witness compassion towards my dogs; in fact it was the complete opposite. My dogs were mishandled by the members of the medical staff; one of my dogs (5 pound dog) fell of the exam table. The medical staff members did not brother to pick up my dog and check to see if my dog was okay, they simply asked me to leave the room without completely the exam. An employee of STPHS referred to one of its own medical staff members as “inexperienced.” This is a clear indicating of the care my dog received at STPHS. St. Tammany Parish Humane Society should remove the term "humane" from its name. What I experienced and witnessed as a dog owner was not humane.
