This is excellent clinic. All the staff are excellent. Dr Petra Warnock treated my cocketiel that was on the verge of death. Birds can be hard to handle and she did so very amazingly that he was never stressed with vet visits. She truly cared for buddy and saved his life. I will forever be grateful for her. She is truly a very gifted and excellent vet and and pet that gets treated her is very lucky. Thankyou Dr Petra for your amazing work.

A Bad experience for sure. First diagnosed him with the wrong illness which they treated him for 4 months. I Called 4 times one Friday No doctor returned my calls. My dog died later that day. I do not recommend this vet!!!!

Excellent care of our dog, as always, and great care of her humans too! Love Elk Lake vet hospital and for major stuff wouldn't go any where else. We have visited over twenty years, 3 dogs over the years, and love how elk vet clinic take care of our family members. Thank you!

I understand this clinic is new ownership, so looking at the other comments I would only guess it was a previous owner that did not get good reviews. I had an amazing experience with both Dr Warnock's- Petra especially went above and beyond to help my blind and deaf pup. She booked us into a room and sedated her on the floor, worked with her special circumstances, followed up twice on the phone, she was just fantastic. Went back for her checkup and Petra came in, gave her extra loves, checked up on her even though she was being treated by the other Dr Warnock. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs.

Did not greet me when I came in. Did not record my dogs weight. Sold me kibble with chicken after letting them know my dog was allergic to chicken. Made me wait for 40 mins before discussing their findings. Almost ever aspect of Customer service was poor. Lots left to be desired.

More than Excellent clinical care for my border collie. Dr. Warnock actually got down on the floor and was able to do the examination without freaking out my dog (and me). Outcome was positive and we both left the clinic relieved for different reasons. Thanks (!) Elk Lake Clinic!

Altogether the most friendly knowledgeable vet in Victoria. Dr. Petra provided compassionate end of life service for our 15 year old. She is awesome

Unorganized, overpriced, dishonest. They do not care about you or your pet. Reception staff often confused and untrained. Will make you wait for long periods of time while they check on a SIMPLE question. The vet will not speak to you personally. AWFUL.

I am a longtime user of the Elk Lake Clinic but this was the first time I took my 2 cats to see Dr Randal Warnock. I brought along with me a friend that had previous experience working in a vet office. We were both extremely impressed with the thorough and kind care Dr. W gave my cats. With regards to the price, it was more than fair.

This veterinary hospital and its veterinarians inflate fees and fabricate procedures. Expect to pay unnecessarily for things your animal did not receive. They are condescending and will guilt you into believing they have gone above and beyond and that they should be outlandishly compensated for it. Most people have the common sense to see how transparent this is.

I disagree with all the opinions formerly stated here. This is a bright beautiful large clinic (read lots of overhead) and they are pushers. They push product in an unbelievable manner- they always "find things" that need to be done with fear tactics and are always sure to clean out our wallets before we can think twice.Never going back.

We have always been very pleased, over the years, with the service provided to us at Elk Lake Vet Clinic. They do not "push" what we would consider unnecessary ideas/treatments. We have recently met the new young husband and wife team of vets who are taking over, and we are delighted with their approach too. Everyone there really seems to appreciate how special we feel our dog is:) We will be referring friends and family who are looking for a great vet.

Have not been back in a year since being at this clinic.... Front reception by the name of Tara was awful! Dr. Gaunt was rough with my animals and did not give a proper diagnosis! I had to go to another clinic to get a proper diagnosis and meds. upon asking around I discovered some very unsettling stories regarding his practice and treatment of staff :( would not recommend this place EVER!

This clinic is the best. The vets are amazing. They honestly care about the animals that come in, and they're compassionate with their humans. They don't gouge you, if your pet doesn't need something they won't try to sell you on it. There was a vet there for a while that was opposite to all of this (minus the compassionate side), it seemed that as he was a newer vet and he tried to gain experience on your dime. But, he is no longer there. I wonder if the bad reviews were to do with him. Overall, the facilities are clean, the vets are experienced and smart, all the staff are supportive and friendly, the prices are reasonable and this is a great place to count on. And they have 24hr on-call services.

My 14 year old Pomeranian was sick and the doctor didn't try to get me to do lots of expensive unnecessary tests, and it turned out to be an easy fix. Also my 14 year old Maltese was diagnosed with kidney disease and only given 1-3 months to live. The doctor took lots of time with me and my daughters explaining everything. We all left sad that our dog is dying, but feeling great about the care she received. I would definitely recommend this hospital.

The vets rush your pet through like they are a number, not paying any attention to symptoms or irregularities. I had my cat spayed here and she had horrible symptoms after and I thought....Okay maybe she just had some underlying disorder and it wasn't their fault. Then I took my dog there to get spayed and she came down with two serious infections directly after which had her pooping blood and not eating for five days. They gave her antibiotics and back out the door. Finally when they seemed unphased by her refusing to eat I took her to another vet for a second opinion and more medication. This helped her to eat again within 24hrs (which was the cut off before she would need a feeding tube). The infection came back within 2 weeks of finishing her antibiotics. I called Elk lake vet to order more and found that they misdosed her the first time. She was prescribed one pill once daily for five days....The correct dosing was two pills, twice daily for seven days....jeeze.

Dont go there! Frankenstitching, traumatized my rescue weeks after landing in vic, massive infection post op then double vaccinated her, . Ended with 'losing ' all her records from rescue group, my dog was shaking as she left the building :(

I love this clinic. The staff is good. The vet we saw a few times(cant remember his name) was extremely honest when our dog had cancer. Instead of wanting our money he tried to save us money by telling us common sense as we could have done surgery but in the long run it wouldn't have saved our dog.Their prices were below every where else I looked into. While other clinics were quoting me for extra procedures with neutering they told me those were unnecessary and that it was just preferences. They truly are great
