Made me pay for a second "check up" for the same cat that they saw a week before, for his second vaccine shot! This stupid rule is just there to make more money. They also suggest all kinds of unnecessary tests and make you feel guilty if you don't agree RID: 70369
Click to report rating    6/30/21   4     5     4     3   Quality of care and veterinarian professionalism are inconsistent, misdiagnosis, irresponsible speculation & advice leave client lacking confidence in competence of DVM. Overall the staff seem courteous, but I would recommend considering better individual animal & what/how potential prognosis is delivered. RID: 70020
Click to report rating    9/7/20   2     3     3     1   Misdiagnosed, inconsistency in information and treatment depending who you talk to at clinic, and run too much like a business versus a center for care and business. RID: 69512
Click to report rating    10/13/19   3     3     3     1   It is very expensive in comparison with other places in the same area. If your animal needs a treatment, they charge consultation fee between $50 cad every time you go even if you are just following up with the treatment plan. It doesn't make any sense! RID: 68637
Click to report rating    4/23/18   4     5     5     5   I had excellent treatment here in the care of 3 different cats over a six year period, including recommendations for interventions that were worth it, and those that were not. I always found Judith Empathetic, realistic, and kind to the animals. I recommend her wholeheartedly. RID: 66004
Click to report rating    12/16/15   5     5     5     5   We have been bringing our 12 yr old boxer Kobe to this clinic for many years due to the excellent care he has received. Three months ago our dog developed corneal ulcers when he scratched his eyes which were itchy due to allergies. With the utmost professional care and patience Dr.Judith Weissmann debrided both corneal ulcers without any sedation over a 10 week period and his eyes are now completely healed. At the end of his treatment we went to DMV where Dr. Olivier the opthalmologist examined our dog and told us that he was very pleased with the healing and there was nothing else that needed to be done. Dr. Judith Weissmann also discovered that Kobe had a thyroid problem this past year when we complained that he was limping and was losing his hair. With the medication she prescribed he is a different dog. He no longer limps, his hair has grown back everywhere and he is very energetic. What a truly professional and compassionate team you are! With my deepest gratitude, Mrs. Kanaras RID: 59267
Click to report rating    12/15/15   2     2     3     2   They do not have good servicing etiquette. I had an appointment with same vet as previous appt - when I arrived they said she was not there - but I saw her in the other room. They discussed sensitive and emotional information concerning my pet's situation in front of everyone in the waiting area.(They had to put her to sleep). It is more of a bistro gossip like atmosphere, rather than a serious clinic. RID: 59257
Click to report rating    12/9/14   2     3     1     1   I made an appointment for Dr Wiseman to see my old cat, but when I arrived they had no record of the appointment. Dr Wiseman wasn't there. Dr. Zolu examined my cat and did some tests. She said my cat had first stage kidney disease ( not diagnosed in recent visit to another Vet). She said the cat has arthritis, infection, and needs to have four teeth removed. When I left. I was given antibiotics, which almost killed the cat. Dr Wiseman called me four days after the bad reactio, intending to go ahead with dental surgery. She said my cat would receive the same antibiotics that caused the bad reaction. She said she doubted that the cat had kidney disease and that stress could cause a variance in the numbers. She reacted badly to any question I asked - what anesthetic would be used, how could I minimize the cat's stay , how to reduce the stress, and things like that. What was never discussed was the pain the cat could be in after surgery , likelihood of survival. I decided not to proceed. RID: 54943
Deyglun & Barsoum RID: 47329
Click to report rating    10/1/13   1     1     1     1   We entrusted our dog to Dr Weissmann at the Clinique Veterinaire Plateau-Mt-Royal to be put to sleep on Sep 11,2013. The first phase of the process was to inject a sedative. We asked the Dr if this process was going to be painful. She actually responded: “I don’t know” & unhesitatingly proceeded by injecting the needle into the back of the emaciated body of our little dog with such violence that the poor animal jumped & screamed uncontrollably from the intense pain that was inflicted. We were so shocked that we froze in disbelief in the brutal consequence of the action of this vet, whose primary objective is supposed to be the relief of pain & suffering of an animal. From our experience, we feel that the welfare of our pet was at risk especially in her final moments. Now the last memory we have of her is one of tremendous pain and suffering. We are deeply traumatized by what has happened & feel that the rating of 2 is grossly overrated for Dr Weissmann & the clinic. Deyglun & Barsoum RID: 47327

Click to report rating    9/20/12   1     1     1     1   Terrible clinic! They misdiagnose things more often than not and are more concered with making money than the welfare of your pet. RID: 37329
Click to report rating    6/4/12   4     3     3     5   I'm not sure what the previous commenter means about privacy and gossip, this seems a concern. However, in my experience visiting this clinic with 2 elderly dogs and one elderly cat I been met with nothing but professionalism and empathy. Staff seems to care not only about the animal, but about the owner's needs as well. I have dealt with Dr. Weissmann, but also had fantastic experiences with Dr Auger, and Dr. Zollo. RID: 34725
9/20/11   2     3     2     1   Dr Weissman is a good vet, unfortunately often replaced by vets who are in making money and nothing else. Pet owner beware. Dr Weissman est un bon vet, mais elle est remplacée souvent par des vets qui ne veulent que faire un maximum d'argent RID: 27729
Click to report rating    7/3/11   1     2     1     2   Dr. Judith Weisman is popular among the Plateau crowd. But more and more are becoming disillusioned with this little unprofessioanl clinic. They can treat their customers badly, have no overnight or emergency and a couple of their vets are young and inexperienced. I have no trust in them any longer and find they allow their personal feelings to cross over into the business milieu. Also, there are concerns about privacy and "gossip." RID: 25960
