6/28/20   5     5     5     5   This is the absolute best clinic to go to. The people are so compassionate. From the receptionists, the care staff to the vets, they do what's best for your pet. Spay and neutering, vaccines, and regular flea and tick prevention, all these are so important and I didn't realize until they explained everything so throughly to me. I've been going here for a few years now and have nothing but good things to say. Yes, spay/ neuter is somewhat expensive, but it should be budgeted and is a one time cost. Vaccines are once yearly! Flea prevention is once monthly regardless of indoor/outdoor pets (you can bring critters in on your shoes!) All these costs are no different then adding up the costs of you buying a coffee once a day, or a pack of cigarettes, or a case of beer Like I said, owning a pet is a privilege, if you cannot understand basic care then go somewhere else or don't own a pet! These people can explain all this to you (and very pleasantly I may add!) Thank you for all you do RID: 69350
Click to report rating    6/24/20   3     2     2     1   Staff while friendly, seemed not to care about my cats I say this because they were confused about their names, the procedures they were in for etc. Post operative care was not discussed or emphasized beyond a print out sheet of instructions. I felt like there was no way for me to ask questions or follow up and when I did they acted like I was bothering them. (To be fair this was early June right after reopening) The cost I was quoted in February ended up more than double ($600 for two spay procedures became nearly $1300) This was not the worst however. When I brought one of my female cats back to get staples in her spay incision which had somehow opened (very scary but she is fine) she came home covered in fleas! The fleas spread to my other cat and cost us an additional $200 to deal with. I’m disappointed as I had hoped this would be my vet while living in Belleville and have already had to switch once for negligence. RID: 69339
Click to report rating    10/19/17   1     1     1     1   I left my dog to for nine days, I signed him up for boarding $45 which didn't include doggy daycare that was an extra $12 a day, my dog is a nine-month-old Shih Tzu, he is a people lover. When prior to dropping them off they said we could bring whatever we wanted so I packed up his favourite blanket and some of his favourite toys. They said they'd send pictures of him to us every other day. They didn't, until I called from my trip to check up on him they followed up with one picture. When I went to pick him up today all his toys and blankets were still in the garbage bag that I tied up. My bill was $500 for nine days of boarding doggy daycare was only half a day not including weekends. I would've been ok paying this if my dog received care. RID: 64870

Click to report rating    3/16/17   1     1     3     1   Terrible place with rude staff that refuse to listen to anything the pet owner says. We live with these pets daily, we KNOW their preexisting health issues, we KNOW their symptoms, and we KNOW their allergies. The rude staff at Loyalist Vet just rolled their eyes and said "yeah sure" when we tried to explain the symptoms as well as medical history. They made several mistakes which nearly cost the pets life. After over $3000 in vet bills because of their negligence, we have moved on to a better vet. RID: 63048
Click to report rating    7/14/16   5     5     5     5   I've had pets all of my life and this is the only place I have felt save with boarding my dogs at. My pets are my fur kids! The techs and vets have all been very very good to us. They always let you know of costs before your decisions. I always highly recommend Loyalist Vet Hospital to all that ask; everyone who has tried them with my recommendation have been extremely satisfied here! Keep up the awesome work Loyalist! RID: 61102
Click to report rating    4/4/16   1     2     1     1   I took my 5 year old 4 times to this place and they told us it was just a infection and kept putting her on the same medicine. Then my dog got worse and they said that they had to put her on IV because she is really sick. After one night I decided to take her for a second opinion and the other vet said she is in liver failure. She unfortunately died the next day. Please do not take any animals here, they just want the money...... RID: 60211
