Dr. Belanger is an excellent vet. He has made several good recommendations for my senior dog that has helped his quality of life. Another vet wanted to have my dog put down after an apparent seizure, so I called Dr. Belanger for a second opinion. He recommended that we give the dog 24 -48 hours to see if he recovers. I'm pleased to say that he did recover and my dog is doing fine now. In my case, I have no issue with the fees, they were reasonable.

Conditions & Limitations:
A condition and limitation is placed on the licence that the member successfully complete: the College's records webinar; and a 1 day mentorship on the issues raised in this case. Following the mentorship the member shall provide a 2,500 word paper addressing what was learned. A condition on licence requires the member to participate in up to 3 medical record reviews by a College-appointed reviewer. Must pay costs to the College of $2,500.

Dr. Morris Belanger and his staff are the most caring, professional animal care givers that a person could ask for. Morris and his staff are the best they treat your pet like you would want them treated. My dog Max had to be euthanized and special arrangements were made after hours and all staff that attended helped me through the process. Dr. Belanger was the most caring and understanding person you could ask for. Morris has been our Veterinarian for two decades he is number 1 in my book.

I have had the pleasure of taking my pets to Dr. Belanger for over 20 years. He is passionate about his vocation and that can translate to some in being rude or abrupt, but I will gladly take a Vet with passion over complacency any day. I can say unequivocally, that Dr. Belanger has only the best interest of your pet at heart and should he suspect neglect, complacency or abuse he will not hesitate to call you on it. Whenever I have had the misfortune to have an ill pet I know I can call and have my pets looked at within minutes - any time of day or night, any day of the week. This is an invaluable service to those of us who truly cherish our pets. I also appreciate the thoroughness in which he provides information, verbally and print. I read some of the other ratings that were very negative and can only surmise something went amiss because I have experienced nothing but the very best care and concern from Dr. Belanger and his staff. It is just too bad I can only give a 5 star rating.

I am right now looking for a vet to help with my dog. Someone told me to go here to Elliot Lake to see this vet. Well when I happened upon who it was I said to myself no way. Although his facilities and everything else is good, his demeanor when I saw him in espanola was terrible. I had a cat that was sick and when he told me what had to be done to him ( he was young) I said well can you take payments? and yes I paid him for that visit already. he said uh no what do you think we are a bleeping bank??!! He then said well either surgery or put him down. Long story short I had to put my cat down because he wouldn't accept payments and he was fine with putting him down too. I never will ever see this vet again. How could you spend years of life in school to just treat an animal and person like that? Glad others had good experiences but for me not one!

Absolutely horrible!! All he cares about is "bring your pets in so I can make more $" Had a bit of an emergency but had no way to get there as we are a 1 vehicle family I was looking for some advise that maybe I could try at home, and Dr Belanger came right on the phone and said "well then let your dog die"

My little guy was hit by a car on a long weekend. No one including our usual vet in Espanola (who was on call) would take him, as our regular vet said he couldn't find our dogs files. Dr Belanger went above and beyond to help us in any way he could. Also gave us his cell phone number in case something was to happen on our way to him. Needless to say our little guy is doing fantastic now and we have a new doctor for him, so thank you so much Dr. Belanger. Would also like to say he did NOT charge us an arm and a leg, was actually VERY reasonable! Would recommend this Dr, to anyone and everyone.

Dr.Belanger is amazing as is his staff.. Amazing with my animal, loving and gentle, and sympathetic to my feelings and my finances aswell...Dr.Belanger is qualified in avian, small animals, aswell as large(livestock), he is well worth what he charges... When other vets turned me away because I wasnt a client Dr.Belanger was at his clinic in a heartbeat,his priority was my anaimal, not how I was going to pay...

Been with Belanger since we moved from Toronto area prices are ridiculously cheaper from what we are used to. Staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful even going as far as bringing pets refill meds to my door without extra charge. Other reviewer must not be aware of actual costs of vet bills in the modern area. Belanger is also always on call if you need him for emergencies no matter when... You can't ask for a better vet

Belanger prides himself in gauging the mostly senior population with horrendous vet bills, taking advantage of their immobility and loneliness/dependency on their pets. Belanger charges outrages prices for services that are futile -procedures on very old dogs, immaginary outbrakes of diseases that "require" shots,subjecting pets to unnecessary vaccinations and their owners to pay for them. The staff is rude and hangs up on their customers if they don't get their way. Be aware!
