I've been going to this vet since he first opened with both cats and dogs. Problems occurred: (1) cat had infection in anus-did not tell me not to let him out-two days later infection is full of maggots (2) had an appt to put dog down, left me in the waiting room for 50 minutes crying before he took us in to put him down; and (3) saw cat with eye infection in February, cat has birth defect on eye lid that causes eyelashes to scratch eye, in October (8 months later) when he got a second infection and I asked for a repeat of the eye drops I was told I would have to bring him in for a checkup and it would cost $108. I asked for just the eye drops as we knew what the problem was - he refused and made the cat suffer with an untreated eye infection because he would not repeat the eye drops. When I had an online pet med company call for a prescription for the eye drops (which cost $15) he refused. My poor kitty has to suffer because I don't have another $108 to treat his eye.

This is the owner of Baldwin Animal Hospital, Whitby Ontario. This entry is not in regards to my clinic. In reviewing the entry, there is nothing that coincides with any case that I have treated in my clinic and I have not and do not have a staff member named Leslie.
People need to be careful when using these types of sites as mistakes can occur. We feel for the person who must have had a bad experience. My staff and I do our best daily to provide excellent care and service to our furry friends and their owners.

A HORRIBLE experience with this vet office. It started out well with a great vet & we were originally very happy with the level of care. But after performing a serious surgery on our dog that went wrong they tried to charge us to fix their mistakes. We were told that we would be contacted by the manager to discuss as we did not believe this was fair & we were not quoted a rate before the second surgery. No one has contacted us in 2 weeks. We brought our dogs back for a follow-up appointment to remove stitches & they demanded we pay before seeing our dogs. We stated that we were told we would be contacted to discuss. The front desk lady Leslie was incredibly rude, stating that we lied & cancelled our appointment for our second dog, & continued to demand payment. It seems as if this office is just concerened with money, not the well being of their patients. This is very sad for us as it started out well, but we would NEVER reccommend this office to anyone. Surgery & meds cost >$2500.
