Dr Landsborough is an excellent veterinarian! I having been taking my dog to Mainview Animal Hospital for many years. I wud not hesitate to recommend this clinic! My dog had a growth on his paw that turned out to be cancerous. Just to get some other opinions I took my dog to 2 other veterinarians. Both suggested amputation of my dog’s paw as opposed to trying to remove the growth! Dr Landsborough said amputation would not be required as he would be able to remove the growth and that is exactly what he successfully did! I won’t bring my dog anywhere else!

I do not recommend this clinic! Have been taking my pet to this clinic for years to be groomed only. My pet was looked at for another reason that was not related to grooming, I was them charged for this exam and when I questioned this and my concerns about this exam that I had not otherized to be done, I was told not to bring my pet back for grooming. Really..... and you call yourself a veterinary Dr. Landsborough. Apparently it's not for the love of animals, it's for the love of money, greed I say! Totally disgusted!

Very good vet hospital. Dr Landsborough and his staff are knowledgeable, professional and caring. I would not hesitate to recommend this clinic! I have been using Mainview Animal Hospital for many years and have never had any issues.

I can't recommend this clinic. Dr. Landsborough is the single worst vet that I have even met. He's arrogant and greedy, which makes a terrible combination. He's more concerned about maximizing billing than he is on the welfare of the animal.

Never ever bring your animal here huge rip off and the doctor and staff are horrible. Brought my dog in for x Rays he gave the dog an extra x Ray and charged me for it without consulting me. Told me the dog had a tumer or possibly bones in his stomach. I don't know what the point of the city Rays were then. Never go here.

Love this clinic! Especially the staff!! I do not like that people are writing nasty reviews about Erica. She is a staff member and a valuable one. She is very companionate to the clients and the patients!!

Ripped off is what we were at Mainview! My bill was way over what I had expected to pay and after moving from Vancouver where the cost of living is high, I was surprised. Dr. Landsborough is quite rude as well when I asked about some of the charges....Erica was very kind to my cat, but I felt that she and Dr. Landsborough were tag teaming to over charge and make excessive profits. My cat is priceless but that doesn't mean I have to get ripped off!

I feel pressured and a little bullied into getting certain treatments done. Upselling seems to be high on their agenda. Yesterday was my second and last time at that clinic.

I have been taking my dog to Dr Landsborough for 7 years (from a puppy). I interviewed several Vets in Milton before I chose Mainview Animal Hospital and I'm SO glad I did! I've had dogs in the past and have used Vets all across Canada. Dr Landsborough is one of the best Vets I've had to date! He is extremely knowledgeable and very professional and I trust his medical expertise and experience. He listens and thoughtfully answers any questions I have and he puts me at ease with any concerns I have with my dog. He has always expertly diagnosed and treated any issue my dog has had. The staff there are wonderful to deal with and they always have a way of making me feel comfortable at the clinic. The hospital is very clean and organized and I can buy my dog food, treats and toys right there. It's obvious to me that Dr Landsborough and his staff have a love for animals and therefore they are very passionate about what they do...that's a win win for me AND my dog!

I am extremely pleased with this clinic. Erica is wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable, helpful, informative, does everything to make the clinic feel welcome and most important SHE IS EXTREMELY COMPATIONATE towards the client and the clients pet. She is always willing to help with any concerns, questions and advise.

I wasted a lot of money at this place. Finally I found a great vet closer to home and realized i was ripped off by Dr.Landsborough and Erica. They are such money loving people.

I agree with most of the comments. He seems to put more effort into unnecessary treatments, changing to the food he sells and working on the next appointment than he do to treating the pet and setting the right expectations. I won’t go back.

You get what you pay for & Tara is priceless! Vet A said CANCER when we found mammary growths and once one ruptured, would have to be put down; since she would never survive surgery nor anesthesia, based on her age (14) and intact. When one of the growths burst I was heartbroken. He was ready to put her down immediately, but family had to say goodbye first. My friends had told me of instances of pets put to sleep and somehow not surviving spaying/neutering of even young pets by Vet A, so I decided to get a second opinion. Dr Landsborough was dismayed that tests weren't taken for malignancy. He suggested removing them, sent for testing and spaying Tara at the same time. After extensive surgery involving spaying and the removal of several growths he found a fibrous growth producing excess estrogen that caused the growths. Tara sports a scar a mile long now, while back to chasing squirrels that I love. I can't thank Dr Landsborough & Erica enough! How much is your pet worth to you?

I agree with above, the Vet seems nice enough, but with out we took our dog in for some routine shots and without even consulting us started giving her extra shots. When we asked about them, he said oh don't worry she needs that one too. Needless to say we refused to pay for that last shot. My neighbour recently had a pet who needed surgery and he quoted her an outrageous price and when she said that she didn't think she would be able to afford that, he accused her of being a terrible pet owner. She went to another vet and had the procedure done for half the amount, and her dog is doing great. We will not be going back to him again.

Dr. Larry is way over priced and I find he does unnecessary testing. The staff is great but we decided to move on to another vet.

I agree with the posting above. I went through a similar experience with this Vet. Dr. Landsborough will overcharge and do it with a smile on his face while acting like he's your best friend who really is only concerned about your pets. If you read this posting, and still see this Vet, I'm quite certain you will have a similar experience.

I spend a lot of money in a short period at this facility, and when I brought my dog to another Veterinarian, I was told that the majority of it (special foods, medicines, multiple visits)was not required. Thousands of dollars later, I feel swindled. One of my neighbors also has a similar experience. My new Veterinarian is much more honest about what is really required.
