Took dog there for almost 2 yrs. I wasn't happy with the grooming so I had switched for a few months. When illness hit the household, I gave them another try, since they are a mile from home. Dog got back from grooming & had abrasions on lower abdomen. I called & the groomer said it was because she squirmed around a lot because of some mats. They asked me to bring her in to see the vet. Vet said it was from the straps no permanent damage. My dog was acting out, nervous, clingy, stayed up super late, just not acting right since it happened. A couple days later, on Sat, I noticed a large scab under her chin, where her hair was shaved. I called back Mon, Tues finally talked to Vet who owns the place. He was rude, insensitive and blamed it on the dog & us for the mats. Said it's infection not a cut. Another vet confirmed it's a cut. Professional groomer shouldn't have problem grooming any dog. She never complained about dog before. Should have stopped grooming, called us & told us about it

We have used Dr. Stafford at the DeWitt Pet Hospital for 3 years now. The staff are very friendly and Dr. Stafford puts a lot of time and care into the facility. They are very personal and our family was very appreciative of the way they treated us when our cat passed on. Dr. Stafford looked at our sick cat on a Saturday after hours and checked on him several times throughout the weekend and called us Sunday morning to deliver the bad news. We received a card signed by the entire staff and it meant a lot to us. If we ever moved out of town we would still come back to utilize Dr. Stafford's clinic.
