We are new to Bracebridge and had left our veterinarian of over 30 years in Ottawa. We had a 12-year old Dog named Winnie and no vet. When Winnie started to show times of arthritic pain, BAH welcomed Winnie with great care and compassion. Winnie sadly went down hill fast as the arthritis turned out to be bone cancer. My husband and I do NOT know what we would have done without Dr. Melanie and her team. They prepared an end of life service in which we could be present. We will be forever grateful.

Bracebridge Animal Hospital is quite simply amazing. Awesome team there with total focus on my pets. They have been with me through difficult times and happy times for many years. I find it interesting their hospital in Huntsville has negative ratings and many positive ratings removed for some reason. I posted there as well to let people know they are great at both their hospital locations. I really do not buy into people's assertions they are terrible. These must just be angry people. Likely people with no money or no willingness to actually take care of the pets they have and expect a veterinary hospital (a business) to take care of them for the owners. Do not read into much with these negative reviews. Both hospitals and staff are amazing as you would expect when owned by the same person. Dr McLeod is a blessing to Muskoka!

It always amazes me when I experience exceptional service from a business and then go to rate their business and find others that are obviously written by people who just want to say awful things of others. Do not pay attention to the negative reviews seen here. Both this hospital and the partner practice Huntsville Animal Hospital are exceptional. Having been a client for years with many pets I can state very clearly this hospital and the team cares immensely. Just because they have to run a business like anyone else, which means they have to ask for money up front for high cost procedures do NOT mean they are money hungry or uncaring. I experienced everything from the exciting times of bringing my pets when they were young kittens and puppies, through various health issues and finally their last moments and this hospital and that in Huntsville have been there every step of the way. Dr Jason is exceptional and has done well for our community- a truly caring team. Go and see yourself

Found the staff to be pleasant, clean environment, however they were very high pressure. Seemed to be more concerned about getting all their quotes in front of me rather than attending to the animals immediate needs. Overall, I was not satisfied with my experience.

This was the only open vet clinic on a Saturday afternoon when I suspected my dogs had ingested something toxic.
The entire experience was HORRIFIC. This place is all about the MONEY. I had to pay in ADVANCE before anyone would look at my dogs. Then I had to sign paperwork agreeing to pay more when/if required and did I pay!
72 hours later I had paid over $5000 and they asked for more. I am grateful my dogs survived and I would have happily paid $5000 to any vet to save them. HOWEVER, I will NEVER return to this place. If I had run out of money my dogs were DEAD.
This place is about making money and not about animal care.

Cannot disagree more with what is said below. Sounds like someone who just needs to vent. I have had experience with all doctors and staff at Bracebridge animal hospital for years and they are all excellent, compassionate and very knowledgeable. And very responsive in emergency situations. They care! Go in and see for yourself and you will see how wonderful they are.

Never take your dog to Jason McLeod. My poor dog suffered over this man, never take your dog near him. He misdiagnosed to my face, and my wife overheard them talking in the back of the office, with the real diagnosis. My poor boy suffered on this guys account, to make him as much money as possible. And watch Hayley Martin, he does his dirty work.

This pet hospital is so fantastic. As I sat on the floor with my sick pet, the vet sat on the floor with me and brought me a comfortable blanket to sit on. They were bery knowledgable and helpful.

absolutely love this hospital and its staff. we have come for years and they are always great. the staff take considerable time to address concerns. top notch vet care- and i have owned a lot of pets!

wonderful doctors and staff. brand new clinic that is warm and inviting. complete care that i was surprised to find in rural community- better than my clinic in the city! recommend to all my friends
