Began with us being questioned about why we were there and being asked dogs symptoms before we were even allowed in the door. They make you pay up front for office visit as if you're gonna stiff them.
After they gave me the full estimate I agreed and told them I was going to go to store to get a drink while they worked on him. They said I had to pay new bill before I could leave, even though they had my dog. That's weird. What? Am I gonna abandon my dog there and not pay for services when I could have just left with my dog and said no to the services?
900$ later we have zero clue what is wrong with our dog. All we do know is it's chronic and gastric but they did not check the gallbladder or suggest an ultrasound. They are trying to say he ingested something but this is a 6 year issue. The stuff in his belly was stuff he licked or chewed as a result of the symptoms, not the other way around.
Moral of the story, listen to the pet owners full history and check gall bladders when you

HORRIBLE attitude. I'd really looked forward to this visit since I'd been referred to Dr. Parrott but no compassion from her. She only offered one prescription NO REFILLS and OTC eye drops. Spent less than 5 minutes with me - most of that time trying to persecute me about my not wanting to spend hundreds of dollars of diagnostics for my 12 YEAR OLD Shih-tzu! I've loved my doggie since she sat in my hand at six weeks of age and NO ONE knows her better than I. I just want her comfortable. Topping off my experience today, when I went to pay I had asked to return the unopened flea and tick insecticide from my first visit (when I'd seen the other vet). Counter staff said NO, saying it was against Florida law to return a medicine. What a moron. Flea and tick is an insecticide not a medication!!! It's unopened and cost $85! I can't use it and told them at the time they sold it to me that I doubted I needed it. This place just wants your money.

Dr parrot is very rude and insensitive. I wouldn't take a dying animal there as she clearly doesn't understand the bond between owners and their pets and while your crying at the mention of your animal being put to sleep you may get a sarcastic "so your the sentimental type eh?"... Not very comforting at all!

Wonderful staff, love Dr Parrott, I felt like they treated me as a friend and really loved my two cats! I would recommend a visit! Love the coffee bar!
