My beloved cat, Abby, died 3 weeks ago. When I showed up at Northbrook to pick up her ashes, Dr. Warren was furious with me. Unknown to me, I owed a balance for the euthanasia which I was more than willing to pay. I had no idea that I had a balance because I had never been billed by the clinic. Dr. Warren actually taunted me with my cat's ashes--showing them to me but not allowing me to have them until I handed over my check. Instead of the kindness and compassion I expected, I received only coldness and cruelty from Dr. Warren. I felt very upset by this treatment and was shaking by the time I left. I have no idea what his problem is but he is clearly unstable. All of this is compounded by the fact that Abby lived at this clinic for the first 4 years of her life before I adopted her. The staff knew her. I never got my vet care from Northbrook, thankfully. She was euthanized at home and her body went to Northbrook for transport to cremation. I didn't deserve this treatment.
