Nov '10 & again in Sept '11: Contacted the office for help. First time was a Sat morn and we had an emergency with my cat. Drove to the office and it was closed. Called the number and was told they don't have office hours that day and that nobody could help us. They asked no questions and offered no suggestions. Sept '11: we were flooded into town when my neighbour's dog began to hyperventilate/his tongue turned blue. Called office again (Thurs at 3pm).A man answered. We explained the emergency & asked for help. Response: "I'm semi-retired and don't have the equipment to help you". We stressed the emergency and asked for somewhere to help. Were told by the man that he couldn't help. My neighbour's dog died less than 30 mins later.
Building exists, there's a phone#, but that's it. To not even ask a question or attempt to help? How someone who claims to help/save/treat animals for a living (retired or otherwise), fails to offer any assistance to a sick animal is beyond me.
