I love the way you let my cat stay under blankets and even left him in his carrier (just took the top off) throughout his exam. It made it so much easier on him! Thanks!

Misdiagnosis of my dog. One vet contradicting another. Filled him full of meds. He died four days later. Truly a sad profit driven place. Go elsewhere.

I recently took my puppy here for her booster shots. The front staff were all really friendly and dr. Ashley was really great with my pupp, she didn't even notice she had had a shot. Dr. Ashley was also really knowledgeable and explained everything clearly for me. I would definitely go here again. The staff makes you feel really welcome and tells you exactly what they are doing and why.

These peoople kept my cat who was later euthanized by my vet, alive just to make money. 600.00 for nothing. When I took Him to my vet the next day (I didn't take him there to begin with as they were closed), they told me he had antifreeze poisoning and we put him to sleep. This is what these people should have done, but instead charged me for expensive surgery and worse yet made my poor boy go through hell for 24 hours that was not necessary. Do not take your pets here under any circumstances!

I recently visited this clinic with my cat, and I was very impressed. I let the staff know beforehand that my cat gets extremely nervous at vet clinics; they were very responsive and did everything they could to make her visit as stress-free as possible. Every staff member I met was great. The vet and vet tech were both very knowledgeable and they took the time to explain procedures to me, using xrays and models to help me understand what they were talking about. I also appreciated the fact that the staff followed up with me the next day to see how my cat was doing. I felt all the staff truly cared about my cat's welfare. I will definitely use this clinic again in the future.

This clinic is TERRIBLE!!! I would NEVER recommend anyone go there. I am new to the community and have used them a few times before realizing that their number one priority is profits and NOT the welfare of pets in their care. My last visit confirmed this. My pet required emergency help and I called the clinic and described her symptoms and they said yes, bring her down immediately. They took x-rays and the vet recommended emergency surgery. However, she said that the clinic was closing soon and that I would need to take my pet to the emergency clinic in Nanaimo. I was absolutely stunned and appalled that they would take my money for the exam and x-rays and then send my medically distressed pet away because the vet did not want to work past closing time. She also stated that if it had been earlier in the day they could have helped my pet. Too bad we can't all time emergencies to suit clinic hours. Unfortunatley not all vets truly care for their patients. This is proof.

My cat is hyperthyroid. She needs medication measured by bloodwork analysis. Today we were scheduled for bloodwork and prescription renewal. On arrival, we were offered a physical in addtion to the 2 items above. When we refused, the receptionist told us that the prescription would not be renewed again unless we scheduled a physical in the next 2 months. We declined, and asked to see the vet. She never did see us. Our cat is 19 in Dec. so obviously is well cared for. We just did not want to pay for a physical. The meds and bloodwork cost 165.00. We will be seeking a new vet. We have 2 animals in our care.

Goldie first visit was just before her adoption from the SPCA..it will be 9 years in Sept and the doctors and staff have always been good to my girl. Goldie is so comfortable there, when she just walks in and heads for the scale for her weight in. She trusts their care and the care is great.

The staff at Oceanside Animal Hospital are the best. They are always on time, courteous and love the animals. I highly recommend this clinic.
