Click to report rating    2/10/23   1     2     1     1   we've taken our animals there for years, there have been 2 times that I have cld during business hours (still open for a few hours) and had to leave a detailed message asking for a call back about what to do, seeing as how they are our vet I would expect them to get back to me - it would take less than 1 minute to respond to my question and both times I have been ignored. so from now on there is NO WAY we will be going back there as they are in it for the money and don't give a crap about the animals welfare, as has been proven to me twice now. I don't care if I have to pay double somewhere else, if they are actually concerned about the pets they see. I looked at previous reviews and seems to be becoming a trend with this clinic-going downhill with service and caring yet those bills are skyrocketing. Thanks for getting back to someone who is crying over their dead pet and has one simple question for employees who work there and care about animals - find somewhere else to work. RID: 70578
Click to report rating    2/28/19   3     3     5     1   We have dealt with this clinic since 2010. We have been so pleased but during this last year, it seems it has become a cash grab. Our 5lb yorkiepoo was given a physical exam in August, 2018. Then was due for rabies vaccine in December. They insisted that she have an complete exam again. We agreed to an exam as long as it covered her annual. Today she was due for another set of vaccines and they charged us for an exam ($97.00). After bringing it to their attention, the vet agreed to downgrade the level of the exam by $21.00. She is due for a heartworm test in March and they wouldn't give it to her without another visit(today is Feb 28th!) Looking at the receipt today, they have another annual checkup scheduled for August, 2019. I was told that the "head office" is cracking down. It is evident that these unnecessary appointments are a money grab. We are looking for another vet office. RID: 67413

9/20/17   5     5     4     2   I have never left an online review before, but the consistently positive experiences with Dr. Mel Kenzie are worth sharing with others. Dr. Kenzie is professional, pleasant and thorough. One of my cats is apprehensive with strangers and often gets feisty, yet she allows Dr. Kenzie to fully examine her. I think that says it all right there. RID: 64689
Click to report rating    7/31/17   1     1     1     1   The service at the welcome/front desk and over the phone has declined as I've experienced now on many occasions as a monthly customer; this had mainly taken place since the clinic transitioned to new management. It's unfortunate because they have capable vets but as a result of the intentional arrogance and inconsiderate staff members who you must interact with to set appointments and assist in purchasing pet food, I have moved to another veterinary clinic after about 8-10 years with this one. RID: 64314
Click to report rating    2/28/17   3     5     5     1   I have been taking my pets here for 8 years. I think the vets are great and the hours are fantastic. But I will be looking for a new vet as of yesterday. I dropped off a urine sample to be tested and was later called and told they wouldn't look for abnormalities in my dog's urine unless I brought her in for a physical exam as it has been 4 months since she was last in. I am stunned by this blatant cash grab. If something had turned up in the test and they had asked me to bring her in, I would have been fine with that. But to not test a sample they already had in the office? Ridiculous. So disappointed in this. RID: 62862
Click to report rating    11/3/16   1     1     1     1   Really rude upon arrival, the staff were more focused on talking to each other and not there clients or patients. RID: 61942
Click to report rating    1/19/16   5     4     5     5   Amazing staff! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The vets have incredible knowledge and really listen to what the owners are saying. I have recommended the clinic to many friends. RID: 59536

Click to report rating    7/21/14   5     5     5     5   Dr. Melanie Kenzie is a veterinarian with a speciality in rabbits. Her abilty to work with both the owners and the bunnies is very compatible Her love and devotion to bunnies is seen very easily, through her knowledge ,skills and handling of the rabbit- She is very open to added ideas, suggestion and trials, along with great follow up care. I would recommend Dr.Melanie Kenzie to anyone, not only with rabbits but with other pets, although her passion and love for rabbits is amazing! RID: 52650
Click to report rating    7/19/14   5     5     5     5   The day Dr. Melanie Kenzie became a veterinarian was the luckiest day in the world for bunnies and their owners! She is a true champion for bunnies and she is the very best bunny vet there is! I have known her for many years and no one has a greater love and devotion to bunnies. She treats bunnies with such love and gentleness and incredible patience. She takes courses all over to further her knowledge about the newest information and procedures. She treats all other animals as well, but has a special love and compassion for bunnies. In times of her absence, I have had to deal with other vets, but have never seen such love and tenderness towards bunnies. She usually sits on the floor to examine my bunnies with a towel on her lap, because it is less frightening for them than a cold, slippery examination table. She even makes house calls when prolonged treatments makes it very stressful for bunnies to travel to and fro to the clinic. She keeps costs as low as possible... RID: 52634
Click to report rating    7/17/14   5     5     5     5   We have been going to this vet for 18 years. We have a cat Rascal and bunny Rabbito. Staff are AMAZING and truly great with our pets. Dr Kenzie even did surgery on our bunny and took him to her own home to care for him. Would not ever consider using any other vet. My parents went there with their cat and even though finally nothing could be done for Simpson they were very caring and even stayed open late to help them. RID: 52614
Click to report rating    7/17/14   5     5     4     5   As a first time bunny owner, I really wanted to make sure I made the best decisions for my pet. Not knowing what to expect, I booked an appointment with Dr. Kenzie who answered all of my questions about having my baby neutered. She was very vested in helping and unlike other vets I have seen, actually gets on the floor with your bunny to make sure they feel safe and comforted. You can tell her genuine care and compassion when working with the animals and her enjoyment in giving them better lives. She was there post-surgery to explain everything and to check up on my bunny and even allows me to call and ask advice on her own time in order to answer questions. She really goes above and beyond any vet I have had bunny doctor or otherwise. I feel extremely fortunate to have found her help and don't trust any other with my bunny. RID: 52608
Click to report rating    7/11/14   1     1     1     1   AVOID THIS LOCATION. My pet was taken care of by Dr Kenzie and she is honestly the most non-genuine and fake person I have ever met. She showed up more than half an hour late for my rabbit's appointment and would not stop consistently talking about money (even after his death). She kept on selling us the services they provide even while I was holding my dying rabbit. After telling her to stop talking and just give my family a moment of peace she gave me attitude and said "well I'm just letting you know". She did not appear remorseful AT ALL even though my rabbit fell much more ill while IN HER CARE FOR 24H. Please don't even consider this place. RID: 52511
Click to report rating    4/12/14   2     5     5     5   I regret that I do not know the name of the Vet we saw, as we had an emergency after closing for most places and reached this Office at the last minute. They said they would wait for us. The staff had to carry my shepherd cross into the hospital on a stretcher and the Vet was very thorough and did an x-ray which indicated a huge basketball size tumor which had started bleeding into his abdomen. Unfortunately there was nothing to be done for my beloved dog but the Vet was awesome while I curled up on the floor on a blanket they provided with my dog and cuddled him tight while he injected the meds to put him to sleep. The Vet encouraged us to take as much time as we needed in spite of it being past closing time now. He was so kind, compassionate and sensitive to our needs. The staff in general did 't give me the "warm fuzzies" but the Vet and his care was awesome!! RID: 51020
Click to report rating    1/15/14   1     1     1     1   Took our 9yr dog here( our normal Clinic was closed) after he had eaten a bone, he was sent home with stomach coating medication. No X-ray was offered and it was very clear our dog was not well. He died 6hrs later at the VEC in London. Not happy with what we got from them. RID: 49264
Click to report rating    8/12/13   2     3     2     2   I have been taking my pets to Dr. Kirby for approximately 5 years. He is amazing. The rest of the staff not so much. I recently had an incident where I paid a very large sum of money (over $1000.00) to them for a treatment for one of my pets. I returned 13 of 14 pills that I did not get a chance to use, before we had to take him back for further treatment. They argued with me about re-imbursing me for unused medication ($25.00). They said it was illegal to take back medication?? They told me to throw them out, because they gave me a "better" medication (and charged me again). I am extremely dissappointed with this whole incident, and mostly their unprofessional handling of it. I was spoken to very rudely and condescendingly by 2 of their staff, all over the principal of $25.00 worth of unused meds. RID: 46247
Click to report rating    8/6/13   4     4     5     4   Dr. Kirby is one of London's most competent and sincerely caring vets. The Clinic team is certainly changing but we have always had outstanding service and prompt response to emergencies for our dogs - over decades of real-life experience. RID: 46102
Click to report rating    4/4/13   1     3     1     1   Complete upselling con-artists. They told me my cat had fleas, even though I am very anal about checking her, since she was a stray. They "sold" me drops (for almost $60) without giving me a choice, then tried to push other products on me, talking down to me half the time. Their surgery was an over-priced hack job, that looked like they did it with a butter knife. I will not be recommending them ever. They may be fine for non-knowledgeable pet owners, but as far as people who pay attention to their pet's well being, they just don't care. My cat got back with some weird gooey residues on parts of her fur and so starved for attention, that I could tell that they just don't care about anything other than lining their pockets. RID: 41530
Click to report rating    12/29/12   4     4     4     4   I was very grateful that this clinic was able to see my dog on a sunday when my regular vet was not open. They front desk staff was very understanding and helpful in booking me an appointment. The doctor I saw was very helpful and too the time to answer my questions. I would go back and recommend this clinic for sure! RID: 39291
Click to report rating    8/31/12   1     3     3     3   We have been customers with our 2 dogs there for a couple years now. Last week we found our one dog had passed away in our backyard, I called and asked for their help, we didnt know what to do. I was told to bring her in and we could have her cremated. I said we would be in there after we had a chance to calm down. When we got there and I said who we were they left us standing in the clinic with our dog in our arms, then came back and held out their arms to hand her over the counter to the girl, she left and returned with the bed & blanket we brought her in and then handed me the debit machine. I had no idea what I was doing...I was so upset over losing my baby girl that I walked out after paying. I can not believe what happened that day, i guess I expected a little empathy or at least a room to say our goodbyes...maybe my expectations were too high... RID: 36928

Click to report rating    4/27/12   5     4     5     4   Been going to Dr.Kibry and team for 10 years with 3 surgeries for my dog. Very good care and follow up. RID: 33828
Click to report rating    4/27/12   5     5     5     5   Masonville Animal Hospital has the best vets and staff. They are all excellent and very professional.I would highly recommend their services. Dr.Kirby saved one of my Basset Hounds in an Emergency situation on a weekend that I am so grateful for, and years later, while on his holidays, made a special trip to help us say good-bye to our dear dog. Dr. Bassett, Chris and Pam and all of the staff are incredible individuals that have the very best interests of the animals at heart. I would highly recommend Masonville Animal Hospital. They are the best! RID: 33823
Click to report rating    4/26/12   5     5     5     5   Our experiences with Dr. Kirby and his staff have been very positive. Over the years, we have had many cats, and we believe that each and every one of them has received top notch care. When we bring our cats for an appointment, we are seen promptly, our concerns are addressed and best of all, our cats are handled with the care and respect they deserve. Our family would happily recommend Dr. Kirby, who has the expertise, to take of a beloved pet. RID: 33798
Click to report rating    4/26/12   5     5     5     5   We have been clients of this clinic and Dr. Kirby specifically for five years since we got our first cat, Spooky. We now have a total of three cats. We have always been happy with the clinic and their staff. We have found Dr. Kirby to be very dedicated and passionate about his work. We feel relieved when we arrive there with one of our cats and see that Dr. Kirby is onsite! I feel completely comfortable with Dr. Kirby and know that my cats are in great hands! We trust him completely and recommend that anyone who is looking for a vet to check out Dr. Kirby at the Masonville Animal Clinic! RID: 33791
Click to report rating    1/31/12   1     2     1     1   I took my 13yr old dog here for a check up and to discuss having warts, which she was scratching and causing to bleed, removed.I explained that I was also concerned about her due to frequent urination and was told by Dr. Kirby that this was due to her age. I inquired about a urinalysis and was told, not necessary.I scheduled the surgery and attended the day before to point out the warts to be removed. In addition I provided locations in writing. On the day of the surgery I again pointed out the locations. Dr. Kirby missed removing the warts under her collar and my dog required a second surgery to remove these. At this time I requested a urinalysis as I know my dog and knew that something was wrong. The urinalysis was done only after the surgery and I was then informed that she would require a surgery as a result of bladder stones. Yes that's correct another $900-1000.00 is what I was told and another general anesthetic. I have taken my pet elsewhere.PLEASE IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET STAY AWAY RID: 31907
