7/15/13   1     4     1     1   Facilities are nice but the overall experience a year ago was not satisfactory. I was referred here by my cats' doctor for his heart condition. Behind closed doors, my cat bit and made one of the staff bleed. NO ONE AT THE OFFICE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS. A few days later, I get a call from public health stating my cat had bitten someone at this clinic. My cat is nearly 16, he has been in the family since 8 weeks, regularly goes to the doctor and NEVER has hurt anyone. They (the clinic) must have really done something to tick him off or hurt him. Also, to not tell a paying customer what happened and let the health board contact me? Dirty business. Also, watch your bill. I was charged for tests etc that were not completed. They will not mail you a cheque for the difference, you have to drive back to this place to get your rebate. Which is hard for someone people that live far. RID: 45590

Over the years, we have met almost all of the doctors there and we are impressed with most of them. We did, however have two bad experiences with doctors being overworked, overtired likely and frankly rude. Keep a close eye on the amount you are being billed, because twice we were billed for tests that weren't done. They are very expensive for ICU aftercare, in fact all of their prices are sky high. We also found the Thorold Emergency Vets far more caring and compassionate and willing to allow visiting after an animal has had surgery. Our animals have seen medical, opthamology, neurology, cardiac and an orthopedic surgeon there over the years. RID: 27920
