Click to report rating    1/26/20   1     1     2     2   My cat almost died. My cat has had a history of her conditions so she needs to rely on prescribed drugs every day. When I changed to this clinic, I gave both the Vet and technician a clear instruction: the type of drug as well as the brand of the drug have to remain the same, otherwise there is a chance that my cat can react to it. Despite all my efforts, they did not give a proper drug to my cat. When I received the drug, I noticed the bottle looked different so I asked them to confirm whether it's the same drug as the ones that she used to have from her old clinic. And of course all they did was just reassuring me that it's fine, and just the bottle looks different. As a result the change in the drug brand and type, my poor cat almost died. When I called the clinic to explain the situation, the staffs who screwed up never apologized neither did she acknowledge her fault. Save your pet's lives by avoiding this place. Its been 3 months and her seizure has never went away since RID: 68999
Click to report rating    2/15/17   1     1     1     1   Front of desk staff is very poor, rude and unhelpful Went to a different clinic and myself and dog were treaded 100 % better which you expect when you love and pay so much for our animals well being and this clinic takes advantage of it. Do not recommend. RID: 62693
Click to report rating    1/12/15   5     5     5     4   I brought my dog into the CARE hospital when I saw blood in her urine; after a couple of visits there, we continued on with Dr Emily Ames at 17th Ave. She is great! Very friendly and knowledgeable. Fees are high, but I am from BC where vet fees are substantially lower. All in all, a great vet clinic! My cat has been scheduled to see Dr Emily in a few weeks to become a patient of hers as well! :) RID: 55413

Click to report rating    2/4/14   5     5     5     5   Dr Evans by far is the best vet I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He is compassionate, knowledgeable and has always gone over all the options available for my dogs. I wouldn't even consider going to another vet, Dr Evans is the best of the best!! RID: 49638
Click to report rating    8/31/13   5     5     5     5   Dr. Sean Evans has worked at this clinic for 10 years. He is well respected, with the downtown core and surrounding area. I own 4 beagles and 5 cats. I have been to a lot of vets all were good, but he is the best. His caring and compassion are as genuine as it gets. Every pet matters to him. Big or small, young and old. RID: 46657
Click to report rating    6/19/13   1     1     1     1   I was trying to set up an appointment to take my dog to this clinic. The ladies I spoke to on the phone couldn't care less about retaining my business when I told them their prices were too high compared to other clinics. She then advised me that other clinics may not be offering the same certificate as they were. She hung up the phone on me. I would rather drive across the entire city then deal with this clinic ever again. RID: 43215
Click to report rating    6/4/13   1     2     2     2   Awful service. More concerned about making money than animal health. RID: 42914
Click to report rating    3/3/13   4     4     3     1   Seems they try to get as much money from you as possible. They do things without warning you of the cost and find reasons to order more and more tests. RID: 40819
Click to report rating    2/11/13   5     5     5     5   Our cat had fairly serious gum disease and had lost a couple teeth. I did some initial research and had contacted at least a dozen clinics for estimates (and received quite the range!!). We scheduled a check-up with Dr. Evans and he was spectacular! He took the time to explain everything - our options, cost(which was by far the best price), healing & future dental care tips. We never felt rushed and he was quite thorough responding to our questions/concerns. We felt instantly at ease and knew our kitty was in good hands. The clinic staff were extremely knowledgable. After the dental surgery, they called us with an update, and when picking up our cat later that day, we had time to speak directly with Dr. Evans and another vet tech - they reviewed all post-op care. A day after the surgery, Dr. Evans himself called to check-up on our "little patient" which was so impressive. I recommend this clinic and Dr. Evans specifically to anyone - true animal lovers there! Click to report rating    2/3/13   5     5     5     3   Nice staff and vets. Prices are high - nails clipped on my two dogs cost almost $60 after tax! But it's 17th Ave, what do you expect. RID: 40138
